That Lily preview is really, really boring. It's not a terrible card.. but it doesn't make me say, "Oh! I can't wait to play with that!" It's very bland.. and the ultimate sucks just like Sorin's ultimate sucks.

I can't even wrap my head around that blue card. Does it mean it blows away everything on the stack.. and anything that would be played for the rest of that turn? That white card is pretty awful.. but the green one is really solid. Flash 3/3 for 3, wolf AND spirit creature type, combat trick/Languish+Grasp+Radiant Flames protection. Flash is super relevant bc you can hold it up and not play anything on your turn, which will flip the wolves. Great, great card for Werewolves.

Yeah, it can "counter" any card like a Gaea's Revenge and Altered Ego because it's not actually countering the spell, it exiles it. It also stops cast triggers like Ulamog from happening; not to mention it's Stifle effect. It's definately a good card and I know BBB will orgasm once he sees it.

Presumably Providence is playing off the 13 theme? Something with the fact you can trigger it twice (opening hand, plus hard casting later)? Seems like a card the designers had fun thinking up, but like most inside jokes, nobody else thinks they're funny or clever (in this case, playable)... :/

Is there anything else in the block that works with this (in a legit way, not half hearted way like priest of the blood rite or the 'lose 4 life if you don't have delerium' dood)? Haven't payed attention to cards that didn't make it into duels. Gotta be something for it, if not something still unrevealed from EMN

I could see this card having a place in some decks. The nice thing is that if you do get it in your opening hand, you get some use out of it until you can hard cast it.

I wouldn't mind this card for my creature less deck, as it is mainly just buying time, and setting life to 26 buys quite a bit of time normally. The cost probably would make me look elsewhere, but it would be worth testing.
