I'd probably play Krasis WITH those people and in a Bant tempo deck, I'd probably play it over Tracker in the extremely rare scenario where I can't have both for some reason.

Am I missing something? Rabid Bite is already a thing, and for just more it doesn't endanger your guy.

I've posted a build on every single deck I thought vaible this season, with the only exception being PW.deck

I'm in on mill, ramp, control, aggro, fliers, tempo, etc... I honestly can't think of a legit build I haven't posted on at this point; I even did werewolves and vampires (except as mentioned above, but I'm not interested, sorry. I don't want to play 30 minute games).

Prey Upon was MVP in DOTP 2015, so people love it, but I agree with you. I would much rather have Rabid Bite.

The reduced cost is pretty important, but obviously comparing it to Lightning Bolt is like comparing Dispel to counterspell.

I think that's crazy, tracker just so seems much more important, IMO. I've never been a huge fan of Krasis though, so maybe this comes down to personal preference.

Not sure how to feel about Tamiyo, is not an issue in a PW Superfriends deck; and adding the +1 Loyalty that is usually carried around, her Ultimate might just be a bit too strong in this environment, with all the fatties carrying abilities we are getting.

Maybe, in the end she'll just be a secondary choice for a PW deck.

Tracker is amazing, but it's a bit slower than Krasis, which is a body and a trick.

I built a Boros equipment deck (partially to complete a community challenge that had to do with equipping things, and partially because I wanted to test out the equipment themed creatures), and Toll Collector was one of the best things about the deck. Really bummed me out tho that all the other ones are human, so his creature subtype doesn't gell for Stoneforge Masterwork.

Weapons Trainer was very underwhelming, except for the rare occasions I'd have a pair of him on the board along with the double strike champion. A 3/2 for 2CMC isn't bad, but his ability didn't impress me in practice as much as i initially thought it would. It's a little wack that Boros aura still makes better decks than Boros equipment.

Midrange PW will run Tamiyo period. Between Woodland Wanderer, Reflector Mage (which you now have access to thanks to splashing Blue for Tamiyo), Avacyn, Sylvan Advocate and tokens something is gonna go to battle, and as long as its damage isn't prevented (it's not limited to players!), you will draw these 1-2 cards. She needs creatures, but once she gets those she'll go off.

Man, I tried sooooo hard to make weapons trainer work. I just kept coming up short. I really wanted to do something with Boros too. Le sigh.

CGB did something with Weapons Trainer in a Boros deck he likes on stream.

Just surprising me that the few people who have commented on prey upon were singing high praise, when the comments I've seen on rabid bite around here largely dog on it and only give it a little credit for being removal in . While it's prob not the same people saying both things, it's just got me confused about the vastly different takes on an effect that's only separated by (though the more expensive one doesn't have the same damage exchange drawback).

I don't have any experience with previous versions of digital magic, so I didn't know prey upon has prior history like zzmorg mentioned.

You're talking about a very overstuffed and unfocused deck. Just sounds strictly worse than GRWB Planeswalkers. Just because good cards exist doesn't mean you have to break a deck to fit them in.

I doubt it was anything more than an end of season diversion to try and keep things interesting. The problem I ran into with the card, is that it was too conditional, and really only worked when the opponent did nothing to stop you. But, I felt the decks were just a bit short on quality, so maybe, just maybe we'll get the card or two it missed in this expansion. /shrug

Edit: btw, if I had a dollar for every time CGB 'liked' a deck today, and hated it tomorrow, I'd have like some dollars. I guarantee you, if I went on his show with a weapon trainer Boros deck, he'd rip me a new one.

Oath of Nissa could work pretty nicely to help with getting Tamiyo out on turn four if other mana fixing doesn't work out. Now all we need is Rhox War Monk.

Rhox War Monk, Wooly Thoctar, Sprouting Thrinax, and all the other badass three color cards from 2015 would be an awesome bonus pack for this game.

Can't depend on something that you only have 2 of. Rule of thumb with Enchantments in general with this game atm.

Imagine sprouting thrinax in the games crats deck...
