Fwiw, I'm totally cool with playing 2 color decks for basically ever, and we are finally getting to the point where there are sufficient threats in any 2 color combination to make trying a build worthwhile. I have this dream of making mini standard decks in duels, but I don't think it's realistic.

@Hello World, yeah I think you're right. Fingers crossed for new D card lands - ya never know.

Bant Tempo was already a thing. ;p

But I think Bant Humans Midrange will be flat out better. I mean it's not like you'd play Krasis over Reflector Mage, Tireless Tracker, Always Watching, etc... ... ... This list is getting longer this set - not sure what we're getting yet though. At this time, the only reason I can think of to stray away from 100% humans is Sylvan Advocate (in the early play part of the deck obviously, because the top end will surely be angels, etc...)

Depending on what we get from the set, reanimator may be a more viable strategy. From what's been spoiled so far, there are things that make bodies when you discard (to help you stay alive until you can start reanimating) and there's the artifact that reanimates.

We still lack for playable Artifact Creatures - or other double card type cards, like artifact lands, etc...

That said, the issue with getting delirium hasn't been having ways to put things in the GY, it has been having cards that serve multiple roles in the deck, and a sufficient payoff to bother doing so.

I didn't see anyone link the new planeswalker tamiyo but people were talking about her so here are her abilities.

Tamiyo, Field Researcher
1GWU
Planeswalker - Tamiyo
+1: Choose up to two target creatures. Until your next turn, whenever either of those creatures deals combat damage, you draw a card.

-2:Tap up to two target nonland permanents. They don't untap during their controller's next untap step.

-7: Draw three cards. You get an emblem with "You may cast nonland cards from your hand without paying their mana costs."

Her ultimate is that 10 mana blue card from duels 14 + you get to draw 3 cards. Bant will definitely be a a top tier deck if we get some of the spoiled support cards. Thalia already gives more tempo than krasis could ever offer and that 3 mana green tutor is insane to. I don't think we will get all those cards but between all the spoilers and if we do get some of the better cards bant is looking really strong. I would just keep blue to a splash colour with reflector and tamiyo maybe some card advantage like telling time or some beef like the simic copy creature.

Based on my understanding of the D cards, they have given us what they intended to give us already. It could change, but it would take a set like Invasion or Alara for them to consider giving us a new rare (or uncommon) land cycle. Or, if such a set came along, they could just toss in City of Brass or Forbidden Orchard and call it a day.

Also... Prey Upon?!?! Fo' realz? What's next, Lightning Bolt?

What I am wondering is what type of deck tamiyo would work best in. Bant tempo or Bant control or even Bant ramp, I know one should not build there deck around their planeswalker going ultimate. However, since the colours support Emeria Shepherd and Greenwarden of Murasa and Pulse of Murasa I am thinking we could bring it back multiple times or bring back the cards that bring it back. Then we could tutor for it with clues which bant already supports with Tireless Tracker and Bygone Bishop making tamiyo's journal easier to pull off. All the recursion cards support gideon, nissa, and jace so it's not like the entire deck is being built to support tamiyo. Naturally colour fixing cards like Explosive Vegetation ramp and slyvan ranger provide lands. So essentially we could make a deck with those cards as the core and a few bombs and cool toys for low cmc costs. Not sure just my thoughts what do you think. As casting Eldrazi for free seems cool.

Anywho, I don't think Tamiyo fits into Superfriends unless you have value creatures, most builds have 5+ sweepers. She could definitely fit into a tempo build imo.

Lol... why do you keep calling my midrange deck 'aggro?' You do know it ran 26! Lands right? And for the record, I ran as much creature control as just about any of the control decks in the entire tournament, lacking only sweepers to be over the top.

Anyway, I'll play whatever they give us support for in the cards. In Bant, that's going to be humans, or possibly a big midrange deck - not sure which yet.

My first deck post expansion is very likely to be monoB based on what I've seen so far.

If we do get some bomb ass equipment.. Kazul's Toll Collector is just dying to be built around. Weapons Trainer.. not so much.

I see some potential in this card. Mardu madness seems good; discarding cards for madness and gaining 3 life every time you do it could go a long way.
