Wizard tribal! Awesome! I can see this in an Izzet or Jeskai shell. Relevant creatures: Stormchaser Mage, Jori En, Reflector Mage, Baby Jace.

I love how everyone's going "no, that card won't be in Duels. Nope, not this one either. We're not getting anything from this set. Maybe a basic land, but nothing else."

Keep in mind that as EMN is a small set like OGW, we should get a much higher proportion of the cards than SOI. I feel reasonable holding out hope for cards like Unsubstantiate, Blessed Alliance, and Gnarlwood Dryad. As the power level of the game is creeping up with every expansion, it would be nice to see cards like this to plug holes in the current metagame. Then again, we all know Stainless doesn't play their own game, so it's hard to have faith in any decisions based around power levels...

Interesting: Eldrazi that has nothing to do with Eldrazi. So... maybe someone from Innistrad sort of used the eldrazi stuff for it's own agenda while being immune to the mind control associated with it? Wouldn't be too farfetch'd considering how madness was already a thing way before the eldrazi arived.

We already know all the corruption is Emrakul's doing. Are you reading the story at all?

Every time you cast a Eldrazi creature spell with a converted mana cost higher then or equal to 7, draw two cards.

Could be a somewhat decent payoff for lategame after emptying your hand on ramp spells, but tbh any Eldrazi above 7 casting cost should probably have won you the game already.

EDIT: What this does mean, is we're likely to see more Eldrazi cards with high casting cost, and not just transformations/melds like Brisela and Final Iteration.

I imagine all the cards with Emerge will be Eldrazi with high casting costs. That's what this card is made to be played with (at least in Limited).

Does that work? You're using the Emerge ability, not paying the 7 cost.

Regardless, and on the idea of probably won the game already... you've probably lost the game already if you wasted a 4-spot on this enchantment instead of a decent mid-size creature.

Stainless doesn't decide what gets put in the game...that would be Wizards. Stainless is the programmer...Drew and company decide what gets put in the game.

It would work...it only looks at the casting cost, not what you paid in alternative cost.

That being said, this card is very similar to Elemental Bonds...take a turn off for rewards a few turns down the road. Whether or not it is worth it is up to the individual player. For me, that would probably be no.

The only way I can see this as worth it, is if you're a super ramp deck in a bind with an opposing control deck countering/removing your Eldrazi. Basically a 2 card insurance, so you don't sit in topdeck mode after watching Ulamog hit the yard/exile zone.

Sideboard card in a format of no sideboards.

But that would also imply its worth running our current 7+cmc Eldrazi over other rampables like Plated Crusher which we don't already.

How many Eldrazi with a cost of 7 or more do we have that are worth playing? Barely 3-4 cards per deck total and I'm being generous to Desolation Twins here. Even if the set has something on the level of Worldbreaker, it is still going to be just a lone mythic.

You're already in green so you should be playing Revenge/Crusher instead of those. But if you want an excuse to whip out Ruin Processor and Breaker of Armies over them, more power to you.

But Elemental Bonds takes off turn 3, and can have a lot more cards in the deck that trigger it, including token generators. I like Elemental Bonds a lot. I'm not sold on Eldrazi Bonds.

Though upon review... it does say when you cast, not when it enters play. so it might be of use if the meta has people sitting on counters for the big creatures. I dunno, still not convinced.

Wow the Delver guy has gone real mad, he even summons more delvers and transforms them to insects too. Also each version of Delver goes up in rarity as they move into the next transformation and onto the next set: Original Delver is common, then the SOI one is uncommon and now the EMN one is rare.

Like the abundance of dark mana before the whole eldrazi&zendikar stuff happened is not capable of creating madness. Tssk tssk tssk.

Do want!

Remand fixed so it bypasses "can't be countered" but with the draw swapped so it can be Unsummon too? Yes please. Mind you the draw will be missed.

EDIT: And it gets to be a game day promo:

Well it's much much worse than Remand. If only we got that blue instant sweeper, I'd absolutely build the Owl

He could be interesting at the top of the curve of a Prowess deck. ... that's if a Prowess deck needs it. I guess that will depend on if the meta shifts them down a gear where they aren't just rushing to win in 5 turns.
