He's decent but he feels kinda like an angry Gruul guy that just happens to be a werewolf rather than the actual werewolf legendary leader that people where expecting. Also he's definitely no Avacyn, like he could've really done with at least a keyword like Haste on his front side or Trample on the back or maybe his ability gave trample too instead.
Then again he seems to be primed for some flipflopping, so maybe there will be more cards in EMN that more easily force a transformation like the old Moonmist.

What Werewolves need to become tier 1 is a card that reliably transforms then on demand. Their weakness is in needing the opponent to cooperate in order to use the better side.
So the ability of a Vildin-Pack Alpha but without the requirement that it itself has to transform.
Maybe an enchantment version of that? or equipment with "transform equipped creature"? If we're getting more DFCs in this set, we can hope for some support for the mechanic.

Does this mean zombies will get some love and possibly be useful? Most likely not, so I'm prepared for disappointment at them making scummy Eldrazi (humans too probably) even stronger.

Interesting, I wasn't expecting Eldrazi Wish. I will gladly eat my words from the last thread where I said this was unlikely to happen.

That is a card that most likely is not coming to Duels, so we'll never know.

No way Coax gets in Duels. Who in their right mind is going to want to play a game where their opp spends forever digging in their card library for an eldrazi?

Well it couldn't be a card that you already have the max limit in your deck.
Which I think increases the likelyhood of this coming to Duels - it'd be tempered by the fact you can't both stack Ulamog and wish for a copy.

I know it's the time of the cycle for us to wildly speculate about what stuff we'll get, but does anyone seriously think they'll put in a card that they'll have to code a way for you to browse your card library in the middle of a match? Bellower can browse cards OK. This is far less unusual than Tithes.

I think part of the Tithes issue was the way the UI handles the multiple actions in a batch. You have to declare attackers at once, but pay many separate costs. Those costs might affect timing like tapping mana for one but then changing the whole set of blockers, the UI sometimes doesn't like you changing your mind. or timing with choosing to attack, but also being able to tap that same card for the mana to let it attack (land creatures, etc). It's a very tricky thing to validate that many payments at once in the UI to know what's a legal move. Figure this is the UI that asks if you want to block a Menace creature when you only have one defender, it doesn't know how to predict what you can and can't afford to do. but I digress....

I think Coax could make it in; if anything it could be a sideboard card agaisnt exile effects.

Bellower can browse your deck in play. This card would require a jump out to the main card library, or would require the game to sort all your unlocked eldrazis in a stack it can import into your match. I feel completely safe in assuming we won't get this card.

I actually would love a card that could bring back things from exile (so common to have exile stacks now), but I don't think this card gets in where you can only use 1/2 of its written text.

What does a " card you own from outside the game" mean, exactly? I thought cards you own are the cards in your deck.

I mean, for example, at a tourney, is it illegal to fetch a land card from a box provided by the tourney organizers? What if I own 51% of stock in the venue?

For tournament Magic, it means your sideboard.

In casual play you can basically fetch any card you actually own that is not in your deck. In sanctioned play this can only be a card from your sideboard.

It could be fun in Duels though, to be able to get any card from your collection.

Technically speaking.. you don't have to open up the whole library.. only Eldrazi cards. So it's not like loading up 500 cards.. more like 40-50.. so no more taxing than loading up a normal tutor effect. But.. still.. I highly, highly doubt we get this one.
