For the record I know a single vote isn't going to cause anything meaningful so I'll actually start building an argument against Io now. I already mentioned that people who refused to participate in the arms race are more likely to be mafia and that group includes Io. Add Io's refusal to team up with Mylen and you get the vibe that Io seems to be avoiding getting involved in the game or at the very least wants to keep her distance. The one exception is Io seems quite a bit more talkative when it comes to Rubik and those posts have to do with Rubik thinking Io is Rag which I don't think he really believes. These posts serve as more of distraction than anything and give the Io has posted more than she really has.

It's day 1 and like I said before anything we have to go on is more or less arbitrary but this as good as anything else we have to go on at the moment.

i opted out of the arms race because I like to make my own mind up, not vote because someone tells me I have to vote.

Also fable, I, too, was thinking today about io's refusal to team up with Mylen and how that was potentially weird.

Should refusal to team up be weird? Keep in mind 15377 did something similar in our last mafia game here and was town. Is it confirmation? No, but I got to go with my gut on this one as it's one reason I think more than one player might be town.

I knew you were going to tunnel me from the moment this game started but this is just kinda pathetic and I'm starting to get annoyed.

The thing that makes my head hurt is how people can't read, so the exact same thing had to be said over and over for 5 pages.

I guess it could not be weird, but then io turns around and wants to lynch rubik..for what? Retaliation because he wouldn't team up? CL didn't want to team up with me but I'm not lynching him on that principle.

Fable's responses are all over the place. Once second she wants to be level headed, the next wants to have a crazy idea. But she seemed a little pouty when her lack of promised chaos was mentioned.

You guys know each other's play styles which puts me at a disadvantage, at least day one.

I had no intention of tunneling on you at the start. You made yourself readily available by being completely different with how you react to things. Yes, last game you were mafia, but you displayed yourself as a lover of all things chaotic and an abandon for safety when approaching playing the game. Here, you're running completely counter to that openly displayed way of playing that you showcased last game. Obviously the change you are making here is to avoid getting lynched, but the real question is why when you love playing so close on the edge?

Personally, I believe it to be a matter of not wanting to get lynched right away on D1 as mafia. I, in all honesty, find it hard to believe that as town you'd be so cautious and willingly concede points that you more than likely believe with all your heart.


And if you're getting annoyed, tough. You're playing Mafia. An emotional response such as that isn't going to dissuade me from dogging you when it is obvious you're playing differently.

What are you even taking about? How am I playing it safe when I just tried to bribe people into killing you? Are you even paying attention right now?

Also I already stated last game that I try to make it to the end of every game because I think it's fun to try to do that but you wouldn't know that because you never read anything I post.

It's not easy Day 1, never will be, but some players grow to like the challenge. I've never found the taste for it, but know its a key part of the game... Though I can't say I really know anyone else's playstyle. Only how they played last game.

I remember my first game on another site. Got pegged as scum early, playing a vanilla townie, and had to fight to keep in the game. Made it to endgame, and lost. Voted wrong. Didn't get my first mafia win until I came here.

Now back to focusing.

I've been in the position where I've been too emotionally involved in this game and quit it for just short of 2 years.

You're playing it safe because you flat out conceded the argument that helped spawned the attention on you. If you're being forgetful atm, allow me to remind you. The argument was centered around Myl being more chaotic than you. Earlier in the thread, in case you have forgotten that far, you contended that you were more chaotic than Myl. Eventually you admitted that Myl is better at getting her ideas across than you, but you still stated you were flat out more chaotic than Myl. Then, in case your short term memory is lacking, roughly 10 to 15 posts ago you conceded that *maybe* chaos not your thing (indirectly implying Myl is more chaotic than you). Here, let me grab your words to refresh your memory:

What world do you live in that opinions don't change over time as an argument progresses? Obviously I thought I was right in the beginning otherwise I wouldn't have debated the point at all.

The kind of world where people tend to not have such drastic changes when nothing really enlightening has come into play to justify such a 180 in direction.

Or to put it bluntly, nothing new come about other than something like four people voting you. This clearly indicates you don't want attention on yourself and seek to diffuse the situation by not arguing further.
