Keeping with St. Louis flavor.
I was at the show where this was recorded.
During Awesome Sound Deaner ripped off his headphones he was using to preview effects and samples I guess and ran off stage.
Geaner announced that Deaner had taken too much acid and while insane loops were playing for about 5 minutes he retrieved Deaner from backstage.

Well, this seems like a fun place to loiter while I get to know people. It seems that metal's a pretty big deal amongst you guys. Can't say I'm all that into it myself, but there are a few metal bands that do it for me.

So I like noise, drones, repetition, ambiance, atmosphere, slow tempos, and experimentalism. I'm more of a post-rock sort of chap, really, but I have time for pretty much anything as long as it has plenty of character.

Cheers dude! That's a pretty cool song, and certainly contained a lot of the elements that I enjoy in music, although it didn't quite hit the spot for me, if I'm honest. The guitar playing's a little unsteady at the beginning, which spoils the flow and atmosphere a bit, and I think maybe the production's just a bit too metal for my taste. I also don't tend to get along with guitar solos of the sort that turns up towards the end, although I found it less objectionable than most.

I'd listened to that album before, but didn't really get into it. Really enjoyed it this time, though. The sort of thing I'd spend money on if I ever actually had any. Thank Christ for YouTube.
