and these warrior decks make me want to pull my eyeballs out and throw my laptop in the fireplace. i've played around 15 games, and 9 of them were against warrior decks. 8 of which kicked my ass.

but yeah mostly i just suck and would like to suck less. i like priest so far but i'm trying to get into warlock. any help or tips or friendliness is greatly appreciated.

1. Take it easy. With only Basic cards, you'll have a hard time competing against the really hardcore players. Focus on learning the game instead and what kinds of decks are popular. Take note that you can earn 100 gold by beating all the Innkeeper's expert decks.

2. Look at each ass-kicking as a learning experience. Why did I lose? Is there something I could have done to survive another turn, or even turn the tables? Try to maximize your chances of winning, even if a longshot is the only way you can win, and minimize your chances of losing, even if it's extremely unlikely that your opponent would draw exactly the card they need.

3. Hearthstone is generally a game of board control. If you have a bunch of minions and your opponent doesn't, you're the one in control of the game. Try to establish a commanding lead on the board by trading minions efficiently, then go for the face and convert your advantage into a win.

4. If you have a small collection, Arena is a good way to learn the game on an even footing while growing your collection at the same time.

This deck is called Zoo and uses Life Tap to flood the board with cheap minions. It's easy to pick up but hard to master, making it perfect for new players.

this is similar to a list I got to rank 7 with this season. the changes I have are -1 Sergeant, -1 Squire, -2 Doomguard, +2 Flame Juggler, +1 Spawn of N'Zoth, +1 Sea Giant. I don't love the Spawn, though, it rarely does as much I'd like it to, so if you want to swap in a Doomguard or something, I'd start there.

Hey, don't feel sad: I downloaded Hearthstone more than a year ago, and I still suck.

Don't be afraid of playing Ranked matches. The first 5 levels are pretty straightforward and you can't lose stars.
