CKY, that cover is wonderful! You, sir, are a gentleman, and a scholar! Thanks again!

I am psyched for the PDF version, but don't stress about it, Luna!

So, I have a working PDF version, but it doesn't appear to have any page margins. I tried messing around with the base epub file before conversion, but that doesn't appear to have changed anything, the words still fill the pages to the brim. Other than that it's fine, but I'm kind of hesitant to put it out there like that.

What do you all think? Is it workable? Do you know a way around it?

I could potentially just toss everything into an InDesign file and convert it from there if you like!

The cover looks fantastic.

Can I make a suggestion though? I really, really think that all the ancillary material here, all the interviews and stuff you put together, should be in the book itself! It's the best way imo of preserving that information and I think it's cool and interesting enough to include in the full official release.

Also, it's a bit late but I could clean up the gun designs if you like! Not strictly necessary but I thought I'd offer since I have the original materials to work with.

I mean, you could, but I was hoping for an easier solution that didn't involve one of us having to manually do everything. I just used an online file converter website to make the PDF (and I made a .mobi for kindle because a friend has a kindle but due to unrelated problems I don't know if it works or not).

I mean, we could, but I wouldn't want the only versions floating around to be cluttered with the interview stuff that not everyone is going to want to read. I mostly came to do it the way I have been due to the Pony Fiction Vault and the spiritual successor, the Royal Canterlot Library, both of which are/were actually hosted on... I wanna say Blogger? They're both blog websites that have these kinds of features as their only submissions.

Sasically I was setting up with the assumption in the future that this would end up on NGA front page. Say, when the Legends of the Wastes Serial is all done? *nudge nudge wink wink*

I found a typo in the Jakard anthology, and presumably the story's original posting. In Two Bullets and a Pocketful of Hate it says "He had met with envoy’s from Don Marco while setting up shop" It should be "envoys" sans apostrophe.

Thank you, it's now been fixed across all our Archives. Updated the epub link (now on ver.03.1).

Oh, I could *totally* do that!

Thanks for the suggestion, Luna!

So, ever since Luna put together this wonderful e-book, I knew that I was going to end up making a printed copy for myself. And -- provided that there would actually be interest in this sort of thing -- I'm thinking of printing a small run of copies, so that anyone here in the M:EM who would like a physical copy can have one.

Now, to avoid even dipping a toe into troubled waters, this wouldn't be something that people could buy. Rather, my plan is that I'm just going to have a small run printed on my own nickel, and I will send a copy to anyone in the M:EM who would like one.

And, while I don't want to get ahead of the game, if I can manage to make it happen, there might be a pretty cool surprise involved here, too. :)

As such, I would love to get a quick sense for how many people might be interested. Does that sound like something that people would like?

I am interested and intrigued. What would you need for this? Like, do you need a proper pdf with margins and all? Do you want the interview included? Stuff like that.

I'd be interested, if you're offering. Seems like it would be a cool thing to have!

I kind of think it would be cool to include the interviews -- what's your take?

Eventually, I gather that the thing that I'll need is a PDF, but it looks like they're really recommending the use of InDesign to generate the PDF, since that will automatically set the inside margins correctly based on the number of pages, in order to leave room for the binding.

I was kind of thinking about just springing for a month of InDesign, since you can get a month-to-month license, but I guess that would depend on what format you have things in now, and whether it would even be compatible in the first place?

I thought to myself "oh it goes without saying that I want this."

But it does not go without saying. So I will say it.

I want this. :D

That's cool, though the shipping to my location may be a bit too expensive for my taste.

Well, I confess to not being an expert on international logistics, but my goal is to get a copy to everyone who wants one. So, if you'd like a book, I will certainly try to get one to you!

Yeah, I think this would be cool to have on the coffee table.

I'm pretty new to M:EM, but I'm interested in a physical copy. I'd feel bad asking for one as sort of an outsider, but I'd be willing to donate 10 dollars or less to recoup some of the cost if I'm successfully shipped a copy.

I recently downloaded the epub and I still haven't really had a good chance to sink my teeth into it, but a physical copy of the book would make it a lot easier to read.

I'm currently considering asking for 2 or more copies, so I can have a copy for myself and a copy to lend to friends.

So, status update: I downloaded Scribus last night which Keeper said was analogous to InDesign, but I don't currently know how much work will be involved in using that because freeware has this habit of being really opaque. I'll see if I can't fiddle with the files a bit over the next few days and let you all know what happens.

Uh... didn't there used to be more interview in the OP?

There must have been, because the thing I quoted in my response post isn't in the OP anymore. Also, the last line of the OP begins with a paragraph tag, so presumably, somehow, it got lost in editing.
