Soo I'm currently installing this on my little kindle fire.
Is this a good game? Is it just a tcg like magic?
Anything else to say about this game?
Thanks!

it's pretty good. it's technically not a TCG, since there's no trading, but it is a CCG like magic. it does a good job of incorporating digital elements and making use of the medium it's in.

If you're willing to spend a fair bit of money, maybe. Otherwise, no. You'll probably find it extremely frustrating unless you're good enough to enjoy arena, or willing to dismantle your collection in order to have a solid deck.

The game is a lot of fun, but not very newbie friendly. You'll start off playing decks you could beat, but once the game figures out you have skill but no cards, it will try to force you into matches where you have to pay to be competitive. That doesn't mean you HAVE to pay. You can get some pretty good decks while being free to play (particularily Warlock zoo).

Definitely be willing to pick a class or two to focus on at first and DE stuff from the other classes. Now is a good time to start because you'll get 13 free packs right now. (In the form of quests to complete). Get all classes to lvl 10 to get 300 free gold. Then get a class to lvl 20 so you can play Brawl.

I would suggest avoiding the official forums on battle.net. They are toxic.

I haven't found it all that difficult to do well enough with free-to-play stuff. you're probably not reaching legend any time soon, but I have yet to drop a cent on this game and I'm up to rank 8. it does take patience to get started, though.

How long have you been playing for? I suspect quite some time, so you've had the chance to build up a collection and target what you want. Rank 8 is not impossible, but very unlikely for someone that's just started playing.

To further assist, the strong neutral basic and common cards are:

Argent Squire
Loot Hoarder
Flame Juggler
Faerie Dragon
Dire Wolf Alpha
Wolf Rider
Shattered Sun Cleric
Harvest Golem
Earthen Ring Farseer
Argent Horserider
Acolyte of Pain
Sen'jin Shieldmasta
Gnomish Inventor
Dark Iron Dwarf
Chillwind Yeti

You could fill a deck with those and some class cards plus bonus ones you've opened in packs and you'll win games.

It shouldn't take more than a few months of regularish play to develop a competitive collection even without much disenchanting. i would expect this is especially the case now that some sets rotated.

yeah, quite some time, (I've almost F2P'd my way through all the adventures) but really if you can get a thousand or so dust you can put together a solid budget list pretty easily. just, like, do some research first so you know you're spending it wisely. you can usually get to around rank 15 or so with just basic cards if you're a good player, which gets you some good rewards.

always dust golden commons, the economics are strictly worthwhile. you get 50 dust for it, and to recraft a regular common only costs 40 so even if you want the exact same card, you net 10 dust by downshifting. this isn't true of higher rarities: they give you the same amount that it costs to craft a non-gold one, so only dust them if you don't want the card. but early on, don't be concerned about dusting them either if you don't need them, a golden epic can make you 10 regular commons, and that's usually a lot more valuable.

when you're starting out, aggro decks are a lot cheaper. most of their best cards are commons, whereas control decks often rely on legendary haymakers to close out the game. if you really want control, there are some options for budget finishers, but they're just not going to be as good, whereas in my current zoolock deck, for instance, I wouldn't replace argent horserider with any legendary out there. it's just better. there's a couple legends that'd make my deck better, and I do run a couple epics, but the bulk of my victories come from hard-working commons.

It's a good 40$ game. Pretty terrible F2P one, though.

It is a CCG. Game has issues but is fine.

On a side note, if I see one more C'thun deck I'm going to vomit.

all you have to do is get to a high enough rank and they disappear. C'Thun decks aren't good they're just easy.

And more importantly, enticing for new players, since they get it for free.
Players that are bad at evaluating the game will probably overrate the effect as well. I remember TotalBiscuit calling the card overpowered.
I'm honestly surprised at how unpopular the deck seems to be, I expected there to be at least one prominent C'Thun archetype.

C'Thun Druid and C'Thun Warrior are decent. The problem is that they get outclassed by other slow decks that can deal with them curving out.

C'Thun Renolock seems to be having at least some tournament success, though I don't know how is its success rate on the ladder.
