I'll be losing a battle with a Delirium deck, but then when I see that delirium icon pop up I'm like:

Having some luck with your deck NIB/pifpaflabaffff. Pulse Of Murasa feels weird because I take myself out of Delirium with it sometimes. And with black it always feels like I should be including Oblivion strike just because it is so good.

Yeah, I wonder about that third copy of Pulse. You don't really want them in your starting hand. Oblivion Strike is tempting.

Pulse is a great counter to those really stupid Reanimation decks BS

I picked out Nissa, voice of Zendikar and plugged in Greenwarden. It's just great to have a dude who can pick up anything from the graveyard, and unlike Nissa he plays well with the theme. This deck can now cycle cards forever.

I'm starting to doubt the Gitrog Monster though, I do like to have 6 mana in this deck, and he kind of says 'no'. Thing in the Ice is kind of popular though and it comes as a surprise to some that he's immune to being returned to hand (it did to me!). But it's not enough to stay in the deck I feel. He's cool though.

I think two Evolving Wilds is the sweet spot. I tried four, but I got hands with like 3 Wilds and when they had fetched their lands I didn't draw any more lands. In a way a Wilds is one land less in your deck, and when you want to hit 6 mana it can be detrimental.

Has it already been discussed if Thraben Gargoyle makes sense in a Delirium motif?

DELIRIUM TREMENS 2.0
2xSinister Concoction
2xVessel of Nascency
2xDeathcap Cultivator
2xSylvan Advocate
2xGather the Pack
1xLiliana, Heretical Healer
3xFleshbag Marauder
2xKindly Stranger
2xInexorable Blob
2xReclamation Sage
2xMerciless Resolve
3xPulse of Murasa
1xNissa, Voice of Zendikar
1xMindwrack Demon
1xKalitas, Traitor of Ghet
2xLanguish
1xThe Gitrog Monster
1xOb Nixilis Reignited
1xGreenwarden of Murasa
1xWoodland Bellower
2xEver After

7xswamp
5xforest
1xWestvale Abbey
2xWoodland Cemetery
2xDrownyard Temple
1xRogue's Passage
2xMortuary Mire
2xHissing Quagmire
2xFoul Orchard

-1xNissa, Vastwood Seer and kept Nissa, Voice of Zendikar. Nissa, Vastwood Seer may be useful, but don't serve us in the graveyard cause it's still a creature instead of Nissa, Voice of Zendikar which is a planeswalker type
-2 xMoldgraf Scavenger
-3xNecromantic Summons
-1xBaloth Null

+2x Sylvan Advocate
+1x Liliana, Heretical Healer
+2x Languish
+1xGreenwarden of Murasa
+1xWoodland Bellower

I'm on the fence about Merciless Resolve. I often end up discarding it because in the early game I want to keep my blockers and lands. Complete Disregard is also an instant, and adds some nice targeted control.
I agree. this card is one i'm not sure about

Nissa, Voice of Zendikar feels kind of odd in this deck. The only synergy effects she adds with the deck is when she's dead, but you can't pick her up again. I'll probably add a Tireless Tracker instead, for creature based card draw. Or keep her for more testing.
I agree too, the main interest is when she's dead (one more different type as I said instead of Nissa, Vastwood Seer) but it's not the only one for me.
Her tokens can block during first time
She is the perfect bait, people love to kill her and that's great cause it gives me more time to develop my game as I don't care at all if opponents kills her. If they don't, her last abilty can make me draw more card and gain lifepoints (not so bad for me)
Greenwarden of Murasa can bring her back if needed ((but I never used him for that card)

The Gitrog Monster do his effect, but I'm not sure to keep it too. Maybe, gonna try Kothophed, Soul Hoarder

A Delirium deck should run 4 Evolving Wilds I think, just to get that land in the GY a bit more consistent. Or else Fork in the Road.
Not wrong, but with Sinister Concoction, Vessel of Nascency, Gather the Pack, Liliana, Heretical Healer, Merciless Resolve, IMO you have enough cards to put a land in your graveyard

Mowie 666
You were so right with Kevin, I really feel like that too when the delirium ability activate, the only problem is that sometimes, it was too late (especially against monored and monowhite decks), so Pulse Of Murasa was not so bad for staying alive long enough.
Plus, I use Pulse Of Murasa more for his reanimate function
The fact that it can take yourself out of delirium is one of the negative effects, but I'm sure that with 2-3 more games you will not make this mistake again (or you still can do it willingly)

Has it already been discussed if Thraben Gargoyle makes sense in a Delirium motif?
Thraben Gargoyle can give you one more type, but apart form that, i'm not sure it makes sens in this deck (I may have miss something)

Kicked 2x Foul Orchard for Evolving Wilds.
The land comes into play tapped anyway and the wilds have way better synergy than the Orchards.
They up your Delirium counter and give double card draw with The Gitrog Monster.
The 2x Mortuary Mire are gone also for the same reasons. But there's most definitely some personal dislike for the card, that went into this decision.

I sometimes find I'm sitting with Delirium and a Gather the Pack I don't want to cast because I really don't need more stuff in my graveyard and I don't even have the mana to cast the creatures in my hand.
Also I'm not sure about Mindwrack Demon. I'm not that keen to cast it when I already have Delirium, and I don't want to cast it unless I have at least a couple of card types in my graveyard.

What about Obsessive Skinner? It fits the theme, but too weak?

So I hit rank 30 on Steam today, purely playing this deck. Currently it looks like this;

Delirium

Creature(19)
2x Deathcap Cultivator
2x Sylvan Advocate
3x Fleshbag Marauder
3x Kindly Stranger
2x Inexorable Blob
2x Reclamation Sage
1x Liliana, Heretical Healer
1x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
1x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
1x Woodland Bellower
1x Greenwarden of Murasa

Instant(5)
2x Complete Disregard
3x Pulse of Murasa

Sorcery(6)
2x Gather the Pack
2x Languish
2x Ever After

Enchantment(4)
2x Sinister Concoction
2x Vessel of Nascency

Planeswalker(2)
1x Nissa, Voice of Zendikar
1x Ob Nixilis Reignited

Land(24)
2x Mortuary Mire
7x Swamp
2x Hissing Quagmire
5x Forest
2x Woodland Cemetery
2x Foul Orchard
1x Westvale Abbey
1x Rogue's Passage
2x Drownyard Temple

It plays slow and often from behind, but it can pull off some very gratifying comebacks. Pulse of Murasa is definately staying in the deck, I'm glad for the life gain and the instant speed recovery.

Unfortunately, the biggest weakness is very common in the 30+ ranks - planeswalkers. A turn four Gideon is usually gg.

I just had a crazy game against a mirror Delirium deck. It went on until he had drawn his whole deck, like 45 minutes. Then he managed to attack me for lethal. We both had Liliana Emblems in play. I had no idea how that would work, turns out if both players have them, when a creature die in your turn, your opponent will get the creature back - not you. Had I noticed that a little earlier, I probably would've won. Fun though.

The Thraben Gargoyle counts as two types when it's in the graveyard - an artifact and a creature. Any artifact creature should do this, but the Gargoyle easily slips into the deck, provides an early defense, and can be flipped into an offensive creature later in the game if needed.

Finally! I just hit rank 40, playing the Delirium deck above from 0 on steam. The climb from 35 to 40 was brutal, up and down, up and down, very few give-away games. I've probably played 100+ games with the deck.

Now it's time to conceed back to 0 again and start the road to 40 with a mono-green Elf deck :D See you out there!

i love that you do that (the 0 to 40 climb over and over). I wish i had that cool mix of discipline and passion for the game.

You should ideally track each deck's record or how many games it took to get to 40.

Yeah, would be nice with a lot more statistics, like a tracker for how many games one had with a certain deck, highest amount of damage inflicted, most life etc. I can't be arsed to take notes.

I'm not sure about passion though, I'm not like CGB. More like pc addiction. At least that's what my wife tells me ;)

Man, I really hope one day one of the improvements to Duels is that some basic stat-tracking happens for all decks. Win ratios versus opponents, versus AI, average time of match, anything like that would be super useful

They're the same thing; the former is just a socially acceptable way to describe your addiction ;)

I don't have an addictive personality, I'm just really passionate about a lot of things...

If I have a passion, it's probably Warhammer 40K, Tyranids.

I just hit rank 10 with the Elf deck, 1 loss against a Red/Blue Prowess deck. So that makes me what, 11-1?
