Actually I used Finnean because the ranger in your game, not the other way around. But that name goes back to an old pathfinder ranger.(youll see I also used it in my example roleplay in the guide thread).

I just started messing with roll20 again today as a way to make my skype games easier (hence the above questions about dice rolling).

I really need to spend some time learning Roll20 as well, but I'm not super great at map building, so I'd mostly have to stick to prebuilt ones if I DMed.

I can't build maps either, but I still DM a sandbox world. Though, BH did say he would be willing to assist me with the maps. Still, I'd be willing to DM and explain the locations with no actual map. People can deal with it.

I've DM-ed a bit IRL, but never done a great job. I'm finding that Play by Post is helping me gain a better feel for it since I can take my time with my responses to make sure it all lines up the way I want it to for the overall story. My current D&D group is kinda on hiatus, I haven't played a game IRL in about a year, and I really miss it...

Here's the run down of the game and what has happened so far:

The game started at level 1 and the heroes are currently 19th level, 4 players total.

There's a whole other dimension filled with things that go bump in the night. Sometimes those things wash up on our beach and tend to stay here and someone has to clean it up. Department 7 was created for this purpose and it has existed though out all of written history. Currently it is high tide and more bigger badder icky things and are washing up on the shores of humanity. And often times magic even manages to come to earth in various forms.

The players work for department 7 and have gone all over the world after artifacts and creatures from the Shadow. They have also dealt with terrorist groups who have gotten hands on magical stuff,along with cult groups etc...


Currently they are tracking down The Six fingered hand. A cult dedicated to bringing about the end of the world as we know. They somehow have gotten a hold of a power magical artifact,that they think will help use the power that is being washed upon our shores to end the world. They plan to use the artifact and a magical scroll (Written during the time of Merlin) in the Bermuda triangle as a focus point. So the heroes have to stop the ritual from happening.

As it so happens, I mostly play on Skype these days. I don't use an add-on, though. I use this site instead.

I totally read that as "They are tracking down the Six fingered man."

I feel I'm missing a reference here.

Unrelated note, I need to find me a real tabletop RPG game, I'm not even worried about what system I'd just love to play in person again.

So how do we get more D&D players here? Would love to see more activity.

Umm, know any more players IRL? TankHammer is a buddy of mine who I recruited for my game. If more people spread the word to their friends...

I just checked the Wizards board for players looking for online games, but they all either want a Skype game, specific timings or the posts are old enough that I doubt people will be checking back in. I somehow doubt advertising this site in a new thread would get many views, players or be allowed by WotC....

Would it be considered disrespectful to plug a fledgling site on another site? I mean, it wouldn't be telling players to abandon ship, but to give them another area to also go to. Multiple site can survive without competing with each other.
