Well I'm going to say that Day 1 Aaarrrgh and I were referenced in the 1st DP. The Day 2 DP Freddeh and Neosilk were referenced. Therefore with Freddeh flipping Cop, and fingering Rubik Through investigation. That leaves Neosilk as the last scum. Making the 3rd DP irrelevant. Or it could be Niklor who knows.

There is an extreme lack of interest in trying to pull reversals when I am clearly the only logical choice for lynch.

Plus, I was pretty annoyed as soon as the clue system came into play. I was expecting it to be much more abstract and less "here be the players who must be scum." It's the kind of system that makes games like resistance annoying to me. There is just too much information that is so practically confirmed that it leaves little wiggle room. It works alright as a board game since there is a lot less time to analyse in those circumstances, but it is hard to play people against information where they have a solid trust of the information established.

Also, I was rather distracted with other matters at various points in the game. So, I wasn't that devoted to playing it. I feel slightly guilty for not trying harder on behalf of my teammates, but I also don't really care to drag this out. New information can't really become available that contradicts the current state of things. Sure, I might get a slight reprieve if the next day's clue was a more obscure reference to me, but I don't really have the time or interest to play the game right now.

And asking for a replacement at this stage of the game is much worse in my opinion.

I'm about to enter into a period of time where my every waking moment shall be occupied with mafia here and elsewhere while having to deal with projects and work I have.

So I understand where you are coming from.

Clearly. And by that I mean deadline has passed and Niklor is lynched. He was the last scum. Town has taken a clean sweep.

Clues Day 1 were figured out.
Clues Day 2 were KoD and Rubik. KoD's referenced his "Reminder to Self" post. Rubik's was the FFP reference. His rival was TU, but their rivalry wasn't one of him asserting TU was scum. He didn't care if TU was scum, he'd be against him anyway. The clue actually references FFP's habit of voting third on the wagon scum tell day 1, as FFP wasn't much for day 1s. In both KoD's post and the final vote count, Rubik was the only third voter left alive. The latin was the herring.
Clues Day 3 were Niklor and Tiny. HW managed to link Niklor to his clue, albeit incorrectly (I am not CST, although I once was. The figuring is correct in that it's time, day, month, year but the the time is 24 hour style and DST wasn't in effect late November so wasn't used here). Tiny's was a paraphrase of Gorger Wurm's flavor text, which was his role Dante's Inferno, listed on his profile as his most active topic. The Gem here was another herring.

Overall I think town did a fine job this game. Town's MVP was clearly HW, cracking both number clues leading to correct lynches. Most of the rest of the town put in good effort in at least trying to analyze the posts and took deeper looks at their fellow players, which is the point of this exercise from a town perspective. A major exception would have to be Shippo, who admitted to being the doc in the coded messages at the start of the game, allowing Mafia to pick her off quite easily. Let that be a lesson to anyone that thinks that just because you formed a code with somebody that means you can trust them.

Mafia's play was subpar. Their MVP was KoD and he wasn't even on the team. Aaarrrgh being dead most of the game I don't feel can take the brunt of this. Rubik put up a bit of a half assed fight when fingered by the cop, sure, but did very little in the way of attempting to hold over Aaarrrgh the day before. Niklor was pretty much shut down for half the game. Both have made comments to the extent of getting implicated means you've already lost the game. The problem there is that believing so ignores what your fundamental role in this game is: dissuading opinions and creating scape goats elsewhere. I don't feel like either even bothered to attempt to do this, instead trying to sheep into the crowd, which is the wrong strategy to try and employ in this type of game.

At the beginning I said this would be a game of getting back to basics. Meaning the team that most utilized their fundamentals was always going to be the favored team in the outcome, and I feel the results more than reflect that.

It's easy to say from your omniscient point of view that I made a bad play by busing Aaarrrgh, but I had absolutely no way of knowing that Freddeh knew I was scum. From my perspective, I was setting myself up as a reliable clue interpreter so that I could BS future interpretations.

I think I would have preferred a setup with clues and a doctor with no cop. Multiple investigative sources and a weak protection role versus scum with no special powers is pretty rough.

I sort of agree that having a cop alongside clues is a little bit stacked in town's favor.

I wouldn't say that I was put into a situation where it was impossible for me to win. Just highly unlikely, especially given the lack of attention I had to dedicate to mafia this time around. I would argue being persuasive isn't my strongest suit as much as it is the single most powerful way to play the game so I find myself ill-suited to easily talking myself out of corners where it is clear that I am obviously scum. The issue with being the last scum while the clues constantly implicate you again and again was still likely to be demise even if I could throw town off for today. There were just too many days left.

Also, KoD was totally trying to save Aaarrrgh. If only it had happened.

Fred's actions are really irrelevant. Your decision to pretty much write each other off at the start of the day shows you had no inclination towards team work and that's the point I'm making. You don't have to be omniscient to know that if you don't act as a team in a team game, you're gonna have a bad time.

@Zinger, had you lived I think this would be a drastically different game. I'd agree that it was probably to town's benefit that you died early.

This is why you don't bus scummates in a game like this, especially when you have very plausible deniability in swapping to someone else (full town wagon pushed away from Aaarrrgh and neither scum joined the wagon?). Also Rubik, I looked at you Day 1 purely because you are also typically somewhat quiet and hard to read. Think of it as a compliment. For the record, I was definitely really confused at your actions when I found out Aaarrrgh was scum, as my primary impetus for going away from him was how adamant you were in voting him.

I completely spaced FFPs third vote day 1 thing xD.

I was planning to back Niklor up as much as I needed to until it got to a safer ratio of town to scum. I didn't see a good path to save Aaarrrgh without implicating myself.

I probably could have made the "it's suspicious how quickly that wagon formed, so I'm changing my vote" case, but I felt like it would be uncharacteristic for me to do something like that in the face of a pretty clear-cut clue like that. If I'd wavered, we also might have seen some people saying things along the lines of "look how quickly Aaarrrgh's wagon went away, he's probably scum" and then found myself in more danger after he flipped.
