Cinder BarrensTo the basic Rakdos Nantukonition core, new aditions of note include:
Asylum Visitor: in a deck that has Chandra Ignition always in mind, a P3 2 CC creature is always good. The Madness is a bonus with Lily, Olivia or Chandra (same for Judgement). And she can get us a handful of cards in the late game, she isn't a dead topdeck.
Rancid Rats: a cheap creature with Death Touch means that the Ignition/Death Touch combo starts to be somewhat reliable. We have 4 creatures with Death Touch (just 1 Marauder, sorry...too low on power) + Retreat to Hagra to give it to any of our critters... and 2 more creatures with Lifelink...and then, the Husks. That means that our Ignitions, when they show, are gonna be probably devastating...more devastating, I mean. Amazing blocker, but only 2, too weak in itself to put more there. Evasion, can ping for the last life points.
Retreat to Hagra: as mentioned, Death Touch at will is huge for a Ignition/husk deck. The power bonus is nice for our thopters/rats, and the damage/lifegain can help too. Just one tho, to minimize the problems of an inherently passive play. The split between EW and Barrens is for this.
Olivia, besides being an ok creature in herself, doesn't seem to synergize too much with the themes of the deck...but just the possibility of making explosive surprise hasted Husks garantee her inclusion. Combs with the 3 Madness cards too, makes vamps for Kali and some minor other fancy interactions
Kalitas is even better here than usual, because all our cheap creatures are zombies or vamps, so he hits the board already pre-loaded. Also, Ignition. Also, zombies for the Husks. Also...bah, he's just awesome in any circunstance in this deck, believe me
Graveblade: good as blocker, Death Touch, comb with the Husks, can become a menace in himself...can be lethal with Ignition
Just one Act...I hate having them without husks, I want to minimize the situational plays. Still, our only answer to a lot of threats, and thus, required. Probably should be 2, in fact.
EA is awesome here...recurring P&K+Engineer/Husk, Kali, Olivia+Husk, Visitors for the draw, Bag for Ula/GR...there's a lot of nice plays there
I think this is still a good deck
