All I'll say is turn 3 Mindwrack and hitting Delirium in one is brutal for the opponent. Especially when you can follow that up with +1 forever on Arlinn the next turn :p

Paging Mr. DarkShock... did u give up on your Jund Crats list after it didn't win the tournament ? I went 11-1 with it over the weekend so I think it has teeth. Have you thought about updating it ?

I've been working on something similar to WeCoexist. I knew after looking at the spoilers that combining Mina and Denn, Wildborn and TheGitrog Monster was something I'd have to try.

Jund Monster

Creatures (22)
1x Deathcap Cultivator
2x Sulvan Advocate
4x Sylvan Ranger
1x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
2x Tireless Tracker
1x Reclamation Sage
1x Olivia, Mobilized for War
2x Mina and Denn, Wildborn
1x The Gitrog Monster
1x Greenwarden of Murasa
1x Woodland Bellower
1x Ulvenwald Hydra
1x Baloth Null
1x Oblivion Sower
1x Omnath, Locus of Rage
1x Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger

Enchantments (6)
2x Oath of Nissa
2x Evolutionary Leap
2x From Beyond

Instants (1)
1x Pulse of Murasa

Sorceries (4)
2x Radiant Flames
2x Languish

Planeswalkers (2)
1x Ob Nixilis Reignited
1x Chandra, Flamecaller

Lands (25)
2x Swamp
2x Mountain
6x Forest
1x Hissing Quagmire
1x Smoldering Marsh
2x Cinder Glade
1x Westvale Abbey
2x Woodland Cemetery
1x Rootbound Crag
1x Dragonskull Summit
2x Drownyard Temple
4x Evolving Wilds

The Olivia and EvoLeaps are the newest additions, replacing Gather the Pack, which wasn't working as well as I had hoped. I haven't drawn Olivia yet, but the hope is to live the dream of playing Gitrog and pitch a land to give him haste and draw a card. I haven't opened both Deathcap Cultivators yet, but when I do, the 2nd will probably replace either Pulse of Murasa, which I threw in after losing to mono-red twice in a row, Baloth Null or Olivia, depending on which seems to be underperforming after getting to actually use her. So far, it's been really fun to play.

I did update it after the tourney by adding in some perilous myr's but they got kidnapped in the update :(

I haven't looked at crats yet with the new cards is there any that stand out that would fit in the list? Blue has slip through space which is nice, maybe skeleton key for husk.

I don't know the new cards at all, I still haven't bought any. But i've been playing your deck so much that I could help decide what to cut if you come up with the suggestions. it'll be a fun joint venture!

Last night Nissa making a creature that got Ignition'd was my ONLY way to win versus a white weenie ally deck that got totally set up. I'm not sure the deck has enough ignition targets but I know that's for living the dream to combo with Husk.

I find all the sac'ing is really strong right now against lots of different cards I've been coming up against that NEED to target my guys to do stuff, which I've been denying them.

The fact that your deck doesn't have Myrs is the only reason it's still around. ALL my other decks, except tokens, had Myrs and I was so mad and sore about losing them that I didn't even bother replacing them. BELETED instead.

It just seems that no one is looking at Crats. Covert doesn't have it on his radar screen at all, so this archtype might have slipped between the cracks. Based on my small sample size of weekend skirmishes, it SEEMS to still have legs since it offers good players such a rich toolbox of solutions to choose from. I think that might still be good.

Your list is very similar to the first draft of the deck i posted, but with further discussion and testing we had realized that a faster mid range version of the deck performs a lot better. Cutting cards like sylvan ranger for a stronger 2 drop in Duskwatch Recruiter and the second copy of Deathcap Cultivator, allows for a stronger early-mid game. Have you tried Explosive Vegetation?

Is a sorcery that puts four 1/1 devil tokens on the battlefield with when this creature dies it does 1 damage to target creature or player! Only downside is it is very expensive at 4 :r::r: :(

It is expensive but you get lots of scion tokens with my deck so should be no problem playing on or after T5 :)

Edit: lol you ninja'd me :)

Without further adieu, I present to you...

Barney's Playground
4 x Blisterpod
2 x Bone Splinters
3 x Carrier Thrall
1 x Evolutionary Leap
1 x Lilian, Heretical Healer
1 x Fleshbag Marauder
4 x Nantuko Husk
2 x Tireless Tracker
2 x Matter Reshaper
2 x Ulvenwald Mysteries
3 x Act of Treason
2 x Sifter of Skulls
2 x Smothering Abomination
3 x Eyeless Watcher
2 x Chandra's Ignition
2 x Devils' Playground

Landbase (still messing with)

5 x Swamp
4 x Forest
2 x Mountain
2 x Hissing Quagmire
2 x Smouldering Marsh
2 x Cinder Glade
2 x Rootbound Crag
2 x Westvale Abby
2 x Crumbling Vestige
1 x Rogue's Passage

I have played a few games with it and it seems to work well with some nice combos from the new cards. I like Ulvenwald as it makes your chumps give you a clue that when sac'd gives a 1/1 token which is awesome as a blisterpod on its own with 2 free mana can make an 8/8 husk + draw 1. Devil's playground is great so far as a finisher.

Will edit this after playing a bit more to see whats what.

Edit1: LIVE THE DREAM... Chandra's Ignition on Ormendahl!!

I appreciate the response! I must have overlooked the early version you posted. I was kind of thinking that the Ulamog + From Beyond package didn't quite fit with the main goal of the deck, but it usually ended up working in most games. I'll have to give explosive vegetation a try.

Trying to build the Jund deck, since I found my Golgari deck to be good, but it was lacking To the Slaughter to really compete with the planeswalker decks. I like this one much better on paper. Devour in Flames should be playable in this deck.

CURVED OUT JUND

2 x Dead Weight
1 x Lightning Axe

2 x Deathcap Cultivator
2 x Sylvan Advocate
2 x Lambholt Pacifist

1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
2 x Tireless Tracker
1 x Kozilek's Return
1 x Pulse of Murasa
2 x Read the Bones
2 x Radiant Flames
2 x Devour in Flames

1 x Mindwrack Demon
1 x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
1 x Akoum Firebird
2 x Mina and Denn, Wildborn
1 x Arlinn Kord
1 x Oblivion Strike

2 x Outland Colossus
1 x Ob Nixilis, Reignited
1 x The Gitrog Monster

1 x Chandra, Flamecaller
1 x Woodland Bellower

1 x Omnath, Locus of Rage

3 x Swamp
3 x Mountain
4 x Forest
2 x Hissing Quagmire
2 x Smoldering Marsh
2 x Cinder Glade
2 x Woodland Cemetery
2 x Dragonskull summit
2 x Drownyard Temple
4 x Evolving Wilds

So this has no answers to enchantments, so maybe a 1 of Reclamation Sage would be in order. Otherwise, this feels like a very strong and well rounded mid-range deck; with a well defined plan of controlling the board early, then beating face heavily come mid-game and quite a bit of CA built in to go long.

I'm unconvinced Omnath should be in.... He's win more and comes a bit late; It's either -1 drownyard +1 Rogue's Passage for Ulvenwald Hydra,1 Ever After, or 1 Gaea's Revenge I think. They all have merit.

Went something like 9-1, lost one vs Esper control... turn 2 jace, counter everything I play, emblem from Jace, counter everything I play :(

Spoiler

Cutting Omnath? But that Chandra +1 synergy, think about the Johnnies. Gaea would have won the above game though, heh.

Edit: meh, also lost one to ramp... If the thought-knot seer exiles your only oblivion strike and casts Ulamog what's a guy to do. The deck's definitely good against all the white aggro running around and a variety of other junk.

So we are 25/5 combined. Not bad.

I lost a game vs Tutelage, but **** it, I just know if I sub in a rec sage for a land I'll just get manascrewed game after game.

I'm leaning towards Gaea's Revenge, it syncs nicely with mina and den and the wheenie whipes, and the deck needs something vs permission based control.

Yes if the meta all of a sudden goes counterspells and ramp, then this deck isn't so good. But I figured everyone was bitching about OHNOES HUMANS TIER 1

I'm trying since day 1 to pair that with Flameblade Angel ...if it wasn't that expensive...but anyways, I already told Barney that those two cards are a good top of the curve for Boros tokens...I just have to find the way ...imagine with Valor on board, btw...

I've taken this list for a testdrive tonight only replacing Omnath with Gaea's Revenge. Facing 3 monoG ramp decks, an UW spirit deck, UR prowess and UW control I went 6-0. I think it's a great list and it plays VERY smooth. So far I can't think of any changes. Won 2 games due to Gaea's Revenge getting +1/+1 and trample due to Arlinn Kord.

Thanks alot, I's nice to know BATMAN approves :). And yeah, Gaea is the swap; omnath has that johhny thing going with chandra, but if you wanna spike the deck , Gaea is exactly the ticket.

There's room for customization as well depending on what you face. I built the deck trying to range from fighting aggro whilst still being able to pressure planeswalker decks; but if you see alot of ramp, fleshbags become good subs for devour in flames. etc etc.
