Howdy, all.

Just a quick note to let everybody know that we've moved the Off Topic Room down to the bottom, in the "goblin underground" section. The move was made to de-emphasis the OTR and instead put the emphasis on the gaming forums.

If anybody has permission issues getting in, posting, etc, please post here and I'll be happy to look into it for you.

So the OTR is "ask to get in" now? that's prolly gonna alienate and confuse people, especially since I linked the board elsewhere in an attempt to get more traffic.

The forum is hidden from unregistered users, I haven't bothered checking if you need specific access to view it but I'd assume not because that's a massive pain in the ass.

I hope you don't need specific access to view it.

Permissions, access, look, etc should all be unchanged, except it should now be at the bottom of the page. So anything other than location is an anomaly that I'll need to know about and fix. Thanks.

This is a very reasonable move that I applaud heavily.

If the intent is to emphasize the gaming forums, shouldn't the Metaboard also be at the bottom with it instead of at the top?

We still want the metaboard to be at the top, because this is where people need to go for any boards related issues, and we don't want them to have to go looking for it (even if the bottom of the page is not too fat to look.)

i like that its at the bottom because it reminds us all that its garbage. or at least the heavier, denser, stinkier garbage that sinks to the bottom of all the other garbage. right below play by post, the second heaviest layer of stratum

I agree with the move a much better organization, though I think Other games should probably go just above the Rec Room.

The think that sucks is I can no longer simply scroll to the bottom and be on the play-by-post, I actually have to look for it. Bah!

A new forum has been added to the Goblin Underground section called The Creative Corner. It's intended as a gathering place for creative stuff that doesn't already have a home.
