I played fatigue decks in multiple classes this brawl, I played murloc shaman and a shaman deck with all three 0-drops, and I tried warlock Arcane golem + Power Overwhelming + Faceless otk for a bit.

I was delighted at how few mages with flamewaker I saw, that was what this brawl devolved into last time D:

So, the anticipated Kel'Thuzad vs Rafaam brawl is here. What are your thoughts? I just played twice as Rafaam and found him severely underpowered. Kel'Thuzad's deck is full of very efficient minions (Noth above all, unless I have yet to see a better one), while Rafaam removes and/or sweeps, just to find himself overwhelmed again the next turn.

EDIT: I won the 3rd match... playing as Kel'Thuzad this time, of course. After playing Heigan and Anub'Rekhan and resurrecting Heigan through the hero power, the opponent conceded. So I'm not the only one who sees the power gap between the two...

EDIT 2: OK, Rafaam can win, if Kel'Thuzad doesn't get his best minions in time. I'm happy to see that at least he has a chance and the match isn't totally unfair.

I've won, lost and won as Kel'Thuzad. The time I lost, he made my Sapphiron into a 2/1 Snake, which prevented me from just hammering the hero power.

Kelthuzad is completely busted. Just play heigan and literally nothing else. Just hero power forever. If they don't make your guy a snake you win.

I also noticed that the care for the details decreased over time: in Nefarian vs Ragnaros there were some "placeholder" sounds, which made sense at least anyway (Nefarian's emotes all laughing, some minions with anonymous groans when summoned), now all "legendary" minions prepared especially for this brawl have no sound, the only exception I found being Lady Naz'jar. I mean, come on, they had sentences for all of them if they re-used the sentences from the adventures... Oh and I put the quotes on "legendary" because they didn't even add the orange gem to them.

I just played and won my first game and it was as Rafaam but it felt uphill even when I was playing cheap legendaries.

"Of course I played well, I'm Kel'Thu-freaking-Zad!" is not an empty taunt, but a simple statement of fact.

I think the only game I lost as Kel'Thuzad was when my hero power kept getting me Mana Wraiths over and over even with some four minions dead. Like three consecutive times.

Rafaam's hero power sucks until you get the first powerup, and even then it is not worth the tempo loss. It is only if you get to the point where you're spitting out legendaries that you can actually win. I'd say KT has the advantage here. He also has better minions on general.

Worst Brawl Ever. And that's saying something.

They should make a Brawl where you pick a character to be your hero, then another hero you can pick class cards from. So I pick Rogue, then Priest, I am a Rogue in the game but I get to build my deck from Rogue and Priest cards.

That would be horribly broken. Can you imagine Warlock with Paladin cards?

I don't want to imagine it. I want to PLAY it.

worst case scenario is, like most brawls are, there's an obvious best answer after a short period of time. It would still allow people to experiment with decks that normally wouldn't be possible though, which should make it fun.

Given the upcoming Renounce Darkness card, they could make a brawl where you build a deck with a class and then you are given the Renounce Darkness effect at the start of the match. Only problem, people could decide to make a no-class-cards deck and ruin the fun.

No, it's not. Pretty much every Brawl is Worst Brawl Ever.

this brawl seems absolutely awful, especially for smaller collections.

I have found it pretty fun so far but my collection is alright. You can run thigns like portal or the shaman wolf thing for some crazy tempo damage though. Aggro is pretty possible here.

ok I won my first match against someone with multiple legendaries, including a Ragnaros that I successfully ignored for three turns, but still, terrible format.

I built druid and ran literally every creature I could, plus every available ramp spell. I wound up getting a Savage Force combo off with a Stormwind Champion in play, then Swiping them to death a couple turns later.

and my pack had three rares including a golden Eaglehorn Bow

I am late but I adored the last brawl, winning as Rafaam was interesting and he had a lot of different lines you could take. Spamming Heigan was ok too I guess

The current brawl is likely doing to devolve into people playing freeze mage, but it is a pretty good place to go Kelthuzad into Ancestral Spirit into Reincarnate :v
