I was playing ranked against Ramp today with my trusted little Thopters. This in IOS.

Got a Planar Outburst, getting rid of an Engineer, a Thopter and a Myr, but at least I landed a Spy Network first, which stayed.
I quickly rebuilt with a Rogue and a Chief and killed his/her only Jaddy with the Rogue and a Bolt.
Got a Radiant Flame for 3 clearing the board again.
I quickly rebuilt again with another Rogue, and a Myr (with a Chief and a Firecraft in hand ready to go next turn). Opponent at 12.

Then I got a "Game is syncing. Please wait...".
I thought that perhaps my opponent did rage quit? I waited for some kind of time out.
The longest wait I had before was during an IOS Tournament game, when the game froze for about 20 mins and then we finally got the usual "Blah blah is being replaced by AI"

But it's been like 40 mins now and is still going strong... Looks like it will go forever. I don't mind as I'm doing other stuff at work in the meantime but I was wondering if somebody else got this in the past and if it really never times out?

Not really seen it. It could well just be technical rather than a disconnect. The connection either end may have been delayed in sending the update. The system I guess knows it is waiting to update the game so waiting for a response for server. This would be different or should be for a true disconnect as the server would not be looking for a response so can update. There is usually a slight delay so you can work it the opponent has left and then you get control back to continue to finish off.

At least with the new update you don't have to complete the match.

Never seen that besides on the end screen. Never during an active match.
It could be some sleeper update they tossed in to solve the game freezing issues due to players leaving the match. Personally I'd always prefer having a message than the full void that was around 'till now.

On a side note, it brings back memories of DotP 2014 and how unplayable Mind Maze was for a month or two due to game syncing bugs preventing to cast counters.

I got this error the other day. I assumed my opponent left so I just closed the app.

I get this from time to time, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for a couple of minutes followed by "replaced by AI" and sometimes it just freeze the game forever in which case I pull the plug and play the AI.

Forgot to follow up... Yes... In the end the app was totally frozen. When I switched to another one and then came back to Duels the app did reset itself.

That messages is supposed to be there for a few seconds and disappear. If it doesn't do so relatively quickly forget about it and don't waste your time waiting.

I get the syncing message regularly lately on my ipad, when i'm about to win. Probably because my opponent rage quits. Very annoying, after waiting 20 minutes or so i quit the game and also lose my rank and dont get coins
Anyone have a solution for this?

The eternal out of sync can always be disconnected (pull the internet cable and put it back) from and play the AI instead, at least that has worked for me.

Actually if you attach are using the app. Log on to a wireless network and use wireshark. The app delevopers where cheap and broke most on the roles when creating the app. They use a server side pulling system to run the game. As a result if you can time the result spend back with you shutting off you internet both players will be locked.

In fact if you have wire shark look at the open none encrypted object they are sending freely. It will make you want to delete the app. I only play the app on a dummy phone for that reason...

If anyone knows some one how has any control in wrizard of the coast, I'm a programmer for a living. PLEASE hire your app delevopers and hire someone how actually knows what they are doing.

Being complete upfront due to the united state standing because of the way the app crash, the amount of crash, and the uncrypted sending it technogically malware. Scary isn't it.

I have read this post three times and still don't know exactly when you mean, DewBot. I mean, I know I'm addressing a bot, but what do you hope to gain? Is this the rise of the machines? Is Terminator happening now?!
