Possible additions include Gideon from BFZ and Enshrouding Mist after the starter box changes. The slots I would mess with to fit them in would probably be Reprisal, Pilgrim, and Kinsbaile Skirmisher. This deck is really good against the AI; it wins quickly and consistently. It also has the benefit of being very straightforward to play -- you basically just spam guys and use auras and Kytheon's Irregulars' ability to get past blockers. It does decently in versus up to the low-to-mid 30s, in my experience.

Heliod's pilgrim is just not worth it, imo. You are already going to draw plenty of enchantments, and they all do roughly the same thing (you don't even have a single suppression bonds), and paying 3 mana for a 1/2 in a deck that tries to be aggressive is not a good deal.

Replace 2 Pilgrims for 2 of those, swap in another for a second Kytheon's Irregulars, and maybe swap the last one for 1 Tandem Tactics for instant speed 'lul you don't get to flames me' goodness. That's my 2c.

Interesting deck. My ideas on it:

-13 2-drops seem like a few too many. I think I'd at least strongly consider cutting Topan Freeblade for another 1-drop; probably something evasive like Topplegeist.

-Warping Wail seems like it is in the deck mostly to counter sweepers? Otherwise it doesn't do that much for you...

-Wastes are the worst source of colorless mana if you don't have a way to search them up (which you don't). I'd suggest replacing them with a utility land like Foundry of the Consules, Rogue's Passage or Blighted Steppe, all of which produce colorless as well.

The problem with Topplegeist is, that it doesnt synergize with Thalias Lieutenant and probably never trigger delirium. Perhaps Anointer of Champions could do it.

You're right, Wail is there to counter boardwipes, which is important for this deck.

Yeah if have replaced the Wastes with the Foundry, which i assuming fits good in the aggressiv strategy.

Here's the cuts I'd be considering:

-Eldrazi Displacer (The combo with Thalia's Lieutenant is great, but it is expensive, and it's not great with the Renown creatures)
-Lantern Scout (3/2 for 3 is not amazing and while lifelink is relevant, you don't have particularly great synergies for it (you might not need these, though))
-Archangel Avacyn (Sounds crazy to cut her, but she might be a tad too slow, does not protect your board from all of the sweepers (Languish and Tragic Arrogance still hose you) and can turn opposing spot-removal into a boardwipe, which generally hinders you more I think)

-Make a Stand (Similarly, it does not protect your board from all the wraths. It's better use is in combat; I don't think I love it there, though)

-Lands (Dunno if 23 is the right number of lands here; I might want to go down to 22, especially if I cut Avacyn. Also Foundry does not seem ideal for this deck; I'd want more Plains so that you can keep more 2-land hands).


The rest of the deck seems good; so choose from the options listed and bring in what you want for it.

A few thoughts and suggestions:

- Displacer is great, because you can disable their blockers. They enter the field tapped.

- Like Modulo i would suggest to cut the Lantern Scout because you have not enough syngergie to make it work.

- 3 Make a Stand is definitly to much. Cut 1 or 2, if not all. I use 3 Warping Wails, to counter Sweeper directly.

- Im not sure about Relic Seeker and the Equipment. In my opinio, there is no equipment worth adding to a deck, and the Seeker triggers only when it gets renownded.

- I also like Matter Reshaper, and you can afford it very easily if you add 4 Crumbling Vestige. They are great for Monocolour Colorless decks, because you have no tempo loss. And then you also could afford Spatial Distortion.

Displacer disabling opposing blockers is very suboptimal I think. 3 mana to tap something is very expensive for an aggressive deck, and they get the ETB effects of the disabled blocker again. I'd rather pay 2, or even 3, mana to just remove their blocker entirely; and removal is what DJ0045 wants to add to the list.

I think you guys are right about removing seeker/equipment. So that's 3 slots right there.

Lantern scout is fine if all it ever does is gain me life one time. I think it stays, it's been consistently 4-5 life, and that's plenty enough.

Make a stand is an amazing card - maybe cut one, but I don't want to if I can avoid it.

Displacer doesn't just combo with Thalia, it also combos with scout, and any other ETB in the deck.

I don't think we want to cut any lands in here, it's not a super fast deck, and you want to get to 4-5 mana even if you aren't running Avacyn. Foundries are fantastic for this deck, they are a free way to get enough <> mana to power Displacer without hurting the deck.

So I think this gets us to 3-5 additional slots. (Probably just three, unless I can find a creature that can do the work and is also a human - wish I could run reflector Mage in this deck, lol)

If the object was to get your renown through, I'd take out the displacers and put in some Akroan Jailers in there

Anyway, I think the test might actually be Akroan Jailer. It's not really creature control, but I think it might be enough. When I was testing this deck it felt extremely powerful. It may not need much more than a crappy tap creature effect on a stick. So I'm going to try it with +3 or 4 Akroan jailer, -2 Seeker, -1 equipment, -1 make a stand (maybe).

I could also see trying hero of goma fada for the other two make a stands. Displacer plus goma fada = indestructible, any time I need it, for 3 mana at instant speed. It's probably worth trying it, but it's expensive to set up, and definitely not consistent.

(I'm going to try a different version that cuts consul's LT, KotWO, irregulars, Avacyn, and tithes for River marshal, reflector Mage, whirler rogue, and willbreaker. Not sure if the mana will work, but it looks like it's probably okay. The payoff is pretty huge, because the deck would be loaded with interference for the opponent's gameplan - but our mana sucks, and this deck will need access to [mc]wuc[/c] for it to be worth it.)

Nice list in general.
Blessed Spirits seems like the weakest link in this deck; being a 2/2 flier most of the time. I'd consider cutting it; maybe adding in Heliod's Pilgrim.
I don't know how you feel about the card, but Hope against Hope seems like an amazing white enchantment for this deck, making something a huge first-striking threat is nothing to sneeze at.

To my surprise the Blessed Spirits have been performing very well in this list, the evasion and the likelihood of it growing is really nice. Another card I tried in this slot that performed pretty well was Make a Stand. I didn't even really consider Hope Against Hope, but now that you mention it I can see the potential. I'm going to keep testing this deck today with your suggestion, but overall this deck has been crushing almost everything I run into.
