People are really hoping that Liliana is the one who gets the reprint because everyone and their mother wants some new copies of Liliana of the Veil. Seeing as how Wizards was inches away from putting said reprint in the last Non-Origin's Core Set, but then pulled it because black decks were doing too good during Theros....it's possible (but unlikely) that they might slip such an iconic Innistrad card into this return and then give her a new card when we pick up her storyline next block.

they've never reprinted a planeswalker in an expert-level set before.

Until last fall, they had never reprinted any mythic in an expert-level set, but the reprint of Dragonmaster Outcast demonstrated their willingness to do the unprecedented in this no-more-core-sets world.

(Aside: Were the Modern Masters sets not Expert-level? I think 'Standard expansion' is probably the term we're looking for.)

planeswalkers are story elements as much as they are design ones. Outcast was just a set piece, but depicting Liliana as she was in Innistrad the first time is a waste of a character depiction.

Wizards already dropped some hints that they are considering reprinting PWs in this no-Core Set world.

Wizards either needs to accept reprinting Planeswalkers in blocks or resign themselves to never reprinting Planeswalkers in a full print run again.

Yeah they could do something like reprinting Liliana Vess which isn't tied to a specific moment in time

Yeah, but literally nothing has changed for Liliana between then and now. She still has the veil, still reluctant to use it, and still in need to kill two more demons, neither of which are on Innistrad either.

The only reason lotv wouldn't make as much sense now is because her ultimate is tied to blowing up the helvault.

I think we can start laying out the Limited archetypes we know:

WU: Spirits
UB: Zombies
BR: Vamps/Madness
RG: Werewolfs
GW: Humans
WB: ??? (maybe a sac deck? the transform land makes WB tokens)
BG: ??? (Delirium?)
GU: Investigate
UR: Spell matters
RW: ???

UR will probably be spells matter - see rise from the tides. Black will almost certainly be a central color in any madness decks.

Is this maybe meant to be primarily allied colors in draft? Enemies seem very weakly defined (other than maybe UR but that deck is usually pretty dicey), although there are uncommon enemy duals... UR might be "spells in the graveyard".

UG Transform??? There are blue cards that transform sans tribal theme, but... green ones are all werewolves.

RW artifacts/investigate? Investigate is the bluest blue that ever blued but there are no U cards spoiled that mention it.

Red doesn't get delirium, White doesn't get madness?

Not really enough commons/uncommons to tell just yet, beyond the obvious 5 allied tribals. Not 100% on GW humans either (although that was the pair in INS) - there's only 2 green non-werewolf humans, and 1 produces black mana!

EDIT: Other than GW Sigarda! Derp.

Someone needs to let Marshall preview the archetype uncommons already.

We actually saw very few cards with Investigate, if you think about it.

I think blue is the only color (so far) that has every set mechanic. OP.

DFC's: all colors
Madness: blue, black, and red
Delirium: white, blue, black, and green
Investigate: white, blue, and green
Skulk: blue and black

Let me know if I missed anything.

Which is weird because MaRo specifically said that UG is the Transform archetype last Monday.
