No worries, man, this week has been crazy for me as well. I think the current plan is to try to drop a rockslide on their head as they move out of camp, but I think we're going to need a better idea of when and where to spring it than Booker's pitiful 8 roll can provide.

Also Vaeca is hoping to cast a spell in the general rockslide area (slightly) before any action happens. Also Vaeca made a good roll re: ambush spot.

And no worries. I'm feeling the crunch too.

Okay I'm finally back on top of things. Expect a post when I get back form work. Again, apologies for the delay.

Well now I feel like a idiot for promising a post when you are all waiting on answers to questions. Then at the very least you shall have your answers tonight!

For frame of reference, I'm visualizing something like this:

Thoughts?

Orcs are coming from the top or the bottom?

And Garren, is there a boulder or something that I can target with Shatter?

Vaeca intends to move to the bottom of that helpful pic just before the action starts. So that when the orcs head into the gap they can see him in front of them, and he will try to entice them in further.

And does the ground stay level at the narrowing of the gap? Or does it rise to meet the top of the cliffs on either side?

It does rise a little so the gap between ridge and valley floor isn't as large as it was nearer the orc base, but it would still provide you with a height advantage and prove difficult for the orcs to climb up to meet you.

Okay so I'm going to level with you guys. Changes in my work schedule are making it basically impossible to keep on top of something like this with any real frequency. I'd like to say I expect things to even out soon, that in a week or so I'll be back to my usual schedule but as you can probably see from my posting rate recently that would be a blatant lie. In truth I don't know if/when things will calm down but at the moment were looking at least a couple of months minimum.

As such I'm afraid to say I'm going to be bringing this little adventure of ours to a close. I know it's a terrible time to do it what with orc raiders and dragons and everything but the only other option right now is to shelf it for an indefinite time and watch interest fade away anyway.

So yeah my apologies for this. It was a ton of fun running you guys through the adventure and I hope you all enjoyed the experience until this point.

All good things must come to an end, Garren. Thanks for all of your work. I had a great time.

Thanks, Garren. This was my first PbP experience and it set a high bar for any that follow.

You guys have been great to game with. I'm hanging out over at the Tangled Web more often than here, but maybe I will see you around.

I'm just going to assume we chew up the orcs, skin Venomfang, start a brewery with Lee as the spokesmonk and live happy, wealthy, adoration drenched lives through all of our days.

Peace and good luck.

Aww, that's too bad. Thanks for trying to keep the momentum going, Garren. I understand RL curve balls as much as anyone. I'm not sure about the other guys, but if you find yourself with more time in a few months, I'd totally be down for picking it back up. :D

So what ever happened with the cleric? Bad fit for the group or IRL commitments or something else?

I'm honestly not entirely sure myself.

No worries dude. Of course real life responsibilities come first. I have had a great time and it was a great introduction to 5E. I really enjoyed playing with everyone and would have loved if there was some way we could get together properly. If we lived in the same country might be a start...

As Midas says if somewhere down the road we all have time and inclination to pick it back up I'd be up for that too. Thanks to everyone, it really was a great experience.

To be continued...?

If any of you are interested in the Star Wars FFG game, I have been getting into that lately. I would love to find a group for that game. I would GM it if you guys want as well.
