This is my Conflux Superfriends deck I've been messing around with. So far it has yet to lose though it's entirely possible it's a lot of luck.
Quick Notes: Many of the cards are just cards I like playing with, but seemingly have little synergy. No Gates or Basic Lands are included in this deck. I wanted to go with dual lands and since tango lands count as 2 basic land types I omitted Gates for the other rare dual lands. I run a LOT of land in this deck. I omitted cards that require 3 of 1 mana symbol as that becomes a stretch in the early game:
Planeswalkers: (3)
Kiora, Master of the Depths x1
Ob Nixilus, Reignited x1
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar x1
Creatures: (23)
Jace, Vyn's Prodigy x1
Liliana, Heretical Healer x1
Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh x1
Nissa, Vastwood Seer x1
Kytheon, Hero of Akros x1
Oblivion Sower x1
Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger x1
Perilous Myr x3
Knight of the White Orchid x2
Dauntless River Marshall x2
Skyrider Elf x3
Jorubai Murk Lurker x1
Drana's Emissary x2
Bounding Krasis x2
Woodland Wanderer x1
Sorcery: (5)
Radiant Flames x2
Rising Miasma x1
Languish x2
Lands: (29)
Smoldering Marsh x2
Sunken Hollow x2
Cinder Glade x2
Canopy Vista x2
Prairie Stream x2
Woodland Cemetary x2
Drowned Catacomb x2
Rootbound Crag x2
Clifftop Retreat x2
Hinterland Harbor x2
Isolated Chapel x2
Dragonskull Summit x2
Glacial Fortress x2
Sunpetal Grove x2
Sulfur Falls x1
Though I currently have only been running this against friends and AI it has not lost for me yet. I typically want to play a deck I feel more comfortable with in Ranked which is why I have yet to test this deck there. Any feedback and suggestions are great.
Hey there, Treinjo!
I've been playing 5 Color Control for a bit...you can look back to the last few pages for builds I've used. I like that you went the creature power route with this deck...not something I started with but it looks pretty interesting. I think you found something no one else has...Knight of the White Orchid can potentially get a Battle Land, which up to this point I hadn't realized. Not of huge value, since the Knight already costs
and can only get a
aligned Battle Land, but the more you know...
I have found that 5 Color decks tend to be a bit more powerful with more spells than creatures. Also, while basic lands are kind of blah in these decks, they are also pretty important. For instance, you have Nissa, who comes out for you and fetches a whole lot of nothing. I personally would retool this deck with more spells, drop the less-powerful creatures, and add in some basic lands (25 lands with some fetching is a must!). Run the Battle Lands, the Check Lands, basics and a full-playset of Evolving Wilds to correct your mana base...Pilgrim's Eye and possibly Gatecreeper Vine in some numbers would also not be a bad idea, and if you want to ramp a little, Natural Connection is also good. The deck literally has the most powerful spells available in there...your mana is the worst concern so spending the slots on it smooth out your biggest enemy.
Personally, Kiora usually sucks in this deck (although with your creature base, she looks pretty decent). If you go for a lower creature count, I'd drop her like she had the plague. Same thing with Chandra...quite possibly the worst Planeswalker we have (outside of RDW, where she lives).
Jace looks out of place with 5 non-creature spells. Upping the count of spells would make him more valuable than a Twin-Bolt catcher or Looter.
Anyways, I could go on and shoot you a decklist I'd use, but it would look like my last decklist when I got through most likely. Take a look at the last 2 pages of decklist...I know MegaBeast, Babs, and I have some pretty good lists up that are worth a try. You are playing 5 colors, look at some of the other converge cards, such as Brilliant Spectrum and Prism Array...I've heard good things about the Array, but XCOM 2 has me hooked right now so I have been unable to test as of yet.
Give all of that a go, see about building a deck based on others or keep your own, and let us know how you are doing.
Take it easy.
Kryder out.
