I challenge someone to write the following story: On Ravnica, vedalken are haggling with the Orzhov over some debts, in one of their churches because why wouldn't the Orzhov do it on their own turf. In the middle of negotions, the church is assaulted by nephilim-born sand-people, which begin molesting the church-goers. Of course, a fight is mounted to push them back, and in the commotion the vedalken take the opportunity to sneak away without paying their debts.
Points go to whomever writes the sentence I want from that.
So the phrase was:
The attitude of the lewd dune-brood set the mood for the feud in the pews, and the blue dudes took that as a cue to eschew their dues.

At twilight's end, the shadow's crossed / a new world birthed, the elder lost. Yet on the morn we wake to find / that mem'ry left so far behind. To deafened ears we ask, unseen / "Which is life and which the dream?"
don't you see? the punching was inside you the whole time.

You brought this upon yourself.

Black Satan Omega laughed. Rocketsaurus gritted his teeth; he hadn't been able to land a single punch on the demon robo who moved with such incredible speed. Black Satan Omega laughed. "Come at me bro!" he said. And Rex came at him. "Raagh" he screamed while charging up his most powerful attack. "Hurricane Arms Multipunch 1000 Fist Punching!" he said and launched 1000 punches in just one second. Rocketsaurus Rex couldn't even see Black Satan Omega dodge, the bad guy was moving so fast. But not one punch hit him, and RR felt the pain of the robot's counter-punches. "But, but, how?" Rex gasped. "Ha fool! I am too powerful. The quantum cores I absorbed gave me quantum power. Whenever you punched me, I teleported your fist into yourself! Don't you see? the punching was inside you the whole time." And then he laughed.
Continued next time but plz don't ask for spoilers because I won't give!
*"To YMTC it up" means to design cards that have value mostly from a design perspective. i.e. you would put them in a case under glass in your living room and visitors could remark upon the wonderful design principles, with nobody ever worring if the cards are annoying/pointless/confusing in actual play

new prompt: tell me about Rocketsaurus Rex's first planeswalk.
A story following through on silent arbiter and hinting at even more behind it.

The Arbiter Watches
Two knights sit proudly atop their mounts. They begin to trot, then canter, than gallop. Lances fall into place, eyes locked with eyes. Wood shatters against steel, and the lesser knight falls. The Arbiter watches.
A howl in the night. A lone hunter, trapped in shadows. The darkness closes in, giving form to his fears. A scream, and then silence. The Arbiter watches.
An empty cell. The guard sits patiently, unaware of the open door. The prisoner walks quietly now, her footsteps falling noiselessly on the cold stone. A blade glides smoothly across a throat. The Arbiter watches.
A wizard in a high tower, reciting incantations to the void. Far away, a king sits on his throne, eating his last meal. A portal opens, a demon appears. It grasps the king in its claws. He cries for help, but his guards cannot move. The Arbiter watches.
A barbarian chief and a young outcast. The tribe gathers, axes and bows in hand. The command is given, the boy's fate sealed. The tribe approaches to deliver the verdict, but the ground shifts beneath them. The boy grabs an axe, swings wildly at the chieftain, slicing cleanly through his neck. The Arbiter watches.
Two armies stand at sunrise. Generals bark commands. Soldiers prepare for battle. Light gleams off polished metals. The command is given, the charge begins. Two generals meet in the middle, swords glinting in the sun. Their armies are gone. They stand alone. The Arbiter watches.
A world unraveling. Chaos taken form, a roiling maelstrom the size of creation. Planar threads fray and lash. At the center two people remain, a great king and a lowly peasant. Words are exchanged but the wind carries them away unheard. The world begins to fade. The Arbiter has closed its eyes.
A story following through on silent arbiter and hinting at even more behind it.
Spoiler
It was made to stand the test of time. As I stoop to inspect the rusted joints and failed magical workings, I cannot help but surmise that it failed. Perhaps the test had been too much - perhaps the time had been too long. Failure, of course, had not been an option. Not at the time of the Arbiter's creation. Failure was even less of an option now, though there would be far fewer consequences for it. The worst had already happened, the consequences had already occurred. Dozens of worlds lost. Hundreds more fallen by the wayside. Thousands that had forgotten their purpose.
To serve, and be served in turn.
Admittedly, by the state of the hell-blasted landscape around me, it was not very surprising that the Arbiter was destroyed. It was one of the last lines of defense, after the war between myself and the Scholar had raged for centuries. Too many people split by an ideal, and despite my best efforts, the innocents had always been casualties. The Arbiters were supposed to stop that.
A gout of flame shoots forth from the ground of what once was a beautiful forest.
They had failed.
Perhaps it had been a fundamental misunderstanding of how the constructs worked. After all, I had not constructed them - that had been the purview of the Scholar. Well, of a Scholar. It was difficult to remember that they were not always the same person, even if they were in the same body. I was fairly certain that the schematics for the construction of the Arbiters was not an original design, as well. The Scholar must have unearthed the plans from somewhere, and replicated them for our use. Our first attempts at peacekeeping, before we found the Warrior, and our last lines of defense, long after we lost the Warrior.
And none of it had worked.
A change was in order. A positive one. Not the change that had caused all of this in the first place. I had hoped to find the Arbiters still in good repair. But this was the seventeenth I had tracked down, and all had been destroyed. I was told they would be indestructible. Eternal. Thinking back, their creator never had been trustworthy. They could have been lying to me for years.
Millenia.
Silently, I turn to leave. This plane has been all but destroyed, what few people left unwilling to hear his message or too broken to believe in it. Soon, they would be no more. I knew who was to blame for this. By fate, i had awoken first. But I know he will not sleep for long. So, I wander, as I did in the last years before the long sleep. I will find a solution. The Arbiters may have failed...
I'd like to see a Jakkard story featuring a good, old-fashioned western saloon brawl, complete with at least one person failing and/or being knocked over a second story balcony.

This just makes me think of Get Shorty.
God, do I love Get Shorty.
Anyway, this could totally be a Young Jackie story...

The shifter and duchess encountering one another on a plane... that is still stuck in the medieval classic fantasy era.

I could definitely go for a Young Jackie fistfight story. Sounds like a lot of fun!
For me, anyway. Not so much for whoever she's brawling with...

"Focus child, and find your inner light" the monk said, even though the guy he was talking to wasn't a child. It was Rocketsaurus Rex, the baddest dude on the planet. "Alright, I'm trying dangit" Rocketsaurus Rex said to the monk. And Rocketsaurus Rex continued to focus. Suddenly! "Word from outside!" a dude yelled, "Evil is coming!" "Oh no!" Rocketsaurus Rex. I have to save my friends who are in danger! Just then RR found his ineer light and it was a laser. "Pew pew! I'm awesome! And also can planeswalk" Rocketsaurus Rex planeswalked right to the bad guys and unleashed his ultimate attack: LASER TECHNIQUE: MANY LASERS! MULTIPLE LASER 1000 SHOOTING CONCENTRATION BARRAGE! All the bad guys died and the monk cheered and RR's friends cheered, but he was Lasersaurus X now. "Time to planeswalk to Alara" he said. -Contiuned...
