I thought the list could use a Jund Crats deck. I've seen similar lists previously here on NGD and elsewhere, but this one focuses a bit more on card draw and token generation. The main thing that distinguishes it from other Crats decks is the use of Flameshadow Conjuring rather than Vampiric Rites or Shadows of the Past, so I just call it Flameshadow Crats.

B/R/G, Flameshadow Crats, Midrange/combo, ZedF, crats with card draw focus

Hey guys, just came back to duels and the new Battle for Zendikar cards. So what's the meta like now?

Not sure, but I think...

Tier 1: thopters, and ramp (Gruul, or Naya)
Tier 1.5: crats
Tier 2: some sort of control, sac steal, maybe mill, maybe elves
Tier 3: all kinds of stuff

I think Ramp is probably still the most popular of the bunch, followed by anything you can make without full sets.

I don't think thopters are tier one at all but I could be wrong

Let me disagree mr. semi finals. That's three decks that all beat the opposition, and all have a strong thopters backbone. Peepy's deck is the only outlier, and it's still runs full rogues, engineers, and P&K. I built a 4 color deck on the same principal and was crushing people with it, before the tournament even started. I guess, maybe we just call them all tokens, but I believe them to be the real deal.

Not only are they tokens, but they are flying tokens. It's a super-powerful keyword in this format.

You missed RDW and 5CC. I'd put them at Tier 1.5.

5CC is tier 1.5 in your opinion? Okay... I wouldn't ever have thought so. Totally agree on RDW (knew I was forgetting something obvious.

Silicon flyers is more like Tier 2. Inconsistencies kill it IMO.

I dunno Barney... I kind of side with Kryder on this one. I've tried quite a few Simic builds, and they weren't very good, tbh.

It's hard to play though, you can't go wide most of the time. Just try to punch through with air superiority and always play around sweepers

I agree with most of this list.

Definitely Ramp is top tier, and I don't think it matters if you're Gruul, Naya or Nephilim (which I've been running for some time).
Thopters is good and definitely somewhere between tier 1 and 1.5; as is RDW (I think tier 1.5 is accurate, there might be some argument to push it to tier 1).
What do you mean by "tokens" in general? I don't think token decks aside from Thopters or Crats should be tier 1 or tier 1.5...
Also, I don't think 5CC is that good; Black does not give you enough for being tough to splash.

As for Tier 2, one deck that definitely belongs there is Orzhov Control. I've been running a list for some time now and it is doing great, but the tough matchup against Ramp keeps it from being any higher.
One deck that I think should be tier 1.5 or tier 2 is mono-green ramp. You're a bit weaker than with other colors, mainly due to missing out on sweepers, but the deck does have its merits.

Aight thanks boys! Time to get addicted and neglect the outside world for a few weeks again wohooo
Edit: So best colors for thopters now? Still pure Izzet? Temur? (yes I'm too lazy to think of my own decks until I've played around a bit  )

Tokens and thopters are roughly the same thing. That's all. You can splash a color or two into a mostly thopters deck, and get something that isn't really thopters anymore, but is still really height tier - or at least that's what I'm suggesting, Peepy is proving, and I have also experienced. I'm just trying to keep the list short. I agree mono-G ramp is really good, but Naya/Gruul is better, so not much reason to put mono-G a tier below. I included Orzhov control (or at least I meant it that way, and a few others in the tier 2 'some other sorts of control').

If Kryder is right, and 5CC is tier 1.5 e.g. Better than other control, I might drop the other controls from the list, but I actually haven't played 5CC yet, so I have no opinion.

I dunno, what do you think?

Token strats (usually but not always involving thopters) can be done in WR, WU, UR, WUR, WG, WRG, or WUG. URG might be possible but seems more likely to go in a different direction. A straight thopter deck is still UR, but the more other colours you involve the less your deck will be about thopters and the more it will be about token creatures in general. Adding more colours to your token deck will also tend to make it more midrange, whereas fewer colours tends to favour getting on the board quickly - though any token deck will still tend to be generally aggressive.

As far as control, I would find it hard to believe that 5CC is better than other kinds of control at T2.
