These signals are all over the place. Bunch of good red in the last two packs, now no red. No green in last pack, now two great green cards. No blue in the previous two packs, now tern. Great white cards in the last two packs, now pillarfield ox. The only thing that's consistent is the subpar black.

To me, the pick is between:

Welkin Tern: 2 powered 2 drops are crucial in this format and one with evasion is pretty awesome.
Harrow: Fixes your mana and gives double landfall. The instant speed landfall is not to be underestimated either.
Oran-Rief Survivalist: Another 2 powered 2 drop, this one with potential to get bigger.

Out of these, I'll cut tern. Blue has been pretty dry otherwise, so I don't really feel like going blue. Green had vines 2 packs earlier, so last pack may have just been a pack with little green in it.

Between Harrow and survivalist, it's a pretty tough pick. White is one of the better color for allies and skyfisher has some synergy with them. Meanwhile, considering the wacky signals, harrow might be useful to splash a third color (say we end up green black and we want to splash for the journey).

I'm going to go with survivalist right now, but I could see the pick go either way.

If we are going to take a green card, I choose Harrow because Greed.

SLAM THE DANGED ORAN REIF SURVIVALISTS.

As someone who played this format, I remember that guy being good. This format was incredibly fast, and you want the landfall guys and the bears.

Definitely better than Blazing Torch (why was that card the pick)

Other notable cards from this pack:
Welkin Tern - if you want to be blue, you take all of these.
Harrow - Not that incredible, but not terrible in this format. Nice to turn your Plated Geopedes into 7/7's on turn 3, if you like to live in Christmasland.

Torch is colorless.

Anyways, here it's either survivalist or tern, and I'm leaning towards tern.

Here, we have to choose if we go the ally route or we use survivalist as a regular bear. The pick is between cleric and gear. The baloth is ok, but was disappointing in my experience.

I'll take the gear, I don't think it's really worth forcing the ally deck.

Don't force allies. That way madness lies. Take the gear, it's powerful and colorless.

Soul stair expedition is alright, but like most expeditions, they are pretty terrible topdecks.

Magma rift is ok, but you don't want too many of those. We're not red anyway.

Tuktuk grunt is a fine ally, but again, we're not red and it's more of a filler ally.

I think that leaves us with cartographer. Was never a huge fan of it, but it's not terrible.

Isn't scythe tiger the pick?

I seem to recall Cartographer being a rather solid landfall enabler, and we're looking to be into white right now anyway, and because we picked up the gear, I'd say Cartographer for sure, and look towards a landfall deck (being slightly sad we passed up that geopede earlier).

Scythe tiger is never the pick, it's a pretty bad card.
