Now that GeMiNi is retiring his XbOnE.. Mobius will have to find another fella to swordfight with.

I used to be Hakeem's favorite poster during wartime. :(

You're a CGB fanboy now.. just another Servitraitor.

Looks like my made-up word has become popular :)

In light of the match in question, it is really quite relevant.

Wouldn't that fight be with pool noodles?

Where have you been all week? You've been incognito since your matchup..

I just haven't been visiting the site much, been playing Civilization 5 and Hearthstone on my PC a lot lately.

Assuming this was even partially not a joke, thank you, I appreciate that. Several months ago when I was completely new to the game, I carefully watched all of your videos and learned a ton from them - you were basically one of my two Duels role-models.

Back to the topic of Moss, isn't anyone else concerned that five color control becomes way too strong if the card pool contains no viable land destruction? We've got pretty good mana-fixing, and the rarity restrictions really push toward "put one or two of each of the actually good cards in and call it a deck". I feel like Moss might be the predator keeping four and five color good stuff decks from running amok.

I just thought your Acid Moss post was extremely well-written and on-point. We need more quality posts like that.

Barney knows he's the real #1. <3

Random keeps emotional fog out of his analysis, that's why he's my least favorite poster :). Who needs that kind of level-headedness rooooouunnnnd heeeere? (that's my Adam Duritz impression)

There are LD cards from the current set that are much more suited for the meta. Moss wasn't even part of the origins set. LD should be there as a form of utility to get rid of pesky special lands(and slightly out tempo your opponent) but not a way to outright out tempo the opponent by miles and completely lock him/her down.
I think Demolish or Reclaiming Vines would be much better choices for this meta.

Nothing wrong with LD but a card that ramps and destroys a land is not acceptable.

Why not just run counterspells? I mean take azorius for instance. You could go t1 2/1, t2 3/2, t3 hold up counters for moss (you could have 6 in your deck, easily - even 10 if moss were that bad). Not sure how ramp survives that... It probably doesn't.

Bolster that with bounce, some hard kill spells, etc... I don't even think this would be a bad deck against the rest of the meta.

I was talking about this on the Reddit page earlier, but I figure I'll make the same statement here: please stop suggesting we replace playable commons with total garbage. If you think Moss shouldn't be in the Meta, fine, but don't pretend Demolish or Reclaiming Vines would ever get any play. They are barely playable as side board cards, and we don't even have side boards. I'd get behind replacing Moss with Leaf Gilder, but be careful what you wish for.

I think you just described cgb's Azorius tempo deck. It is up on his blog, one of the first bfz posts

Did I? Great minds I guess, but tbf, this one is pretty obvious. Ramp is relatively slow, and has to pack in less threat removal because so much of the deck has to be devoted to its end game (or else it won't work). Sounds like a prime target for counterspells, and faster beats. Let's be clear about something, I'd probably still expect ramp to win the majority of those matches right now, but tempo would have a decent chance. The main thing that made me bring it up is that it's the kind of deck that can or would likely be able to have open mana for counters on t3 - e.g. To answer moss.
