I played the deck again this weekend and it performed really bad (~50% win rate).

It seems the good results were due to the respective weekends meta: People played mostly RDW, RU Thopters, RB Sac and GB Elves and all these are rather good matchups.

The meta shifted since then and the deck I posted not keep up.

That's too bad man. You still want it posted? They don't have to be perfect.

Hey DJ,

If you want to beef this thread up you are welcome to add decks from any of my posts as well as the results in them. I honestly won't be making the time to repost them, I hope that doesn't come off the wrong way but I already spend a lot of time posting things to make blog come out right. I hope it comes across as an offer to help your thread, not my lazy butt refusing to post stuff. Anyway, take it or leave it, and cheers.

I'm thinking about doing this a totally different way going forward. I'm not feeling it right now. Some time, when I get the time, I'm going to switch things up in here.

If you wanna revive this, maybe it helps to know why people are reluctant to participate - well, of course I can only speak for myself: I don't wanna be a self-appointed master. Also, I don't wanna take credit for decks I just tuned a little, but didn't come up with the basic idea.

I'd like a place to collect my current decklists, even if they're not the most original or hardcore competitive. I'd also appreciate a feedback system. I just don't wanna suggest that my lists are special, because I post them in the masters thread.

It's really just supposed to be a list for tuned decks, e.g. An easy way for folks to find cool ideas.

There's been so many lists posted in the last month that a 'guaranteed not totally mediocre' archival thread like this should be worked on, it would be very usefull for the netdeckers more casual community.

I agree with Gegliosh though and I'm also reluctant to 'push' stuff on this thread since i'm already way too verbose as is :D

Anyway, I'll add one, I would say credit to Randomname since he was the first to post a 'finished list' although I had been playing with a very similar build for a few weeks as well. Somehow this thing keeps flying under the radar...

This deck has a 75% + winrate on Steam for me, and Randomname also claims good results with it. It's relatively simple, reliable, and there's actually alot of play to it, unlike gruul moss decks.

; Chant of the Blue Daya; Ramp; Archetype (Yes); Randomname (minor tweaks by Goblin Rabblemaster) ; original list here

Playtips:

_ Mulligan correctly: This deck has only 23 natural lands and very few islands. To almost guarantee T3 blue you need to have one in the opening hand or a gate or be on the draw with a visionary.
_ You have no way to whipe the board. Your only removal is called Ulamog. The deck is VERY good at playing 'catchup' though thanks to all the chumps, the recource denial, and the utility spells. Careful play will be rewarded, this deck isn't as forgiving as gruul or monogreen. Just today I survived a game vs Beeswax that went 2drop flier into 3drop flier into gideon emblem into a whole lot of other ****. I was already ranting t4 how lucky he got with the curved out Gideon again, but somehow the deck pulled through.
_ There is a case to be made for Eyeless Watcher over the blue tempo spells. It does synergise better with the deck's plan, but I think you have to make a concession here or you will be losing to early trample/Auras too often. That's my opinion anyway.

Following Rabblemasters lead, this is essentially a finished deck for origins / BFZ which works incredibly well for me. At least until we get new cards (and everything changes). It is an aggro deck, and my highest winning deck. The majority of meta isn't prepared for aggro and I feel this deck takes advantage of that.

I really do enjoy it over mono red, and feel it has more oomph. If you have mana issues adjust as such, although strangely my opening hands / first mulligan always seem to be kind to me.

Only other comment is, Gideon Ally is my last inclusion and can be cut for another act of treason or something because still not sold on him.

Do try this deck, don't mess up your plays, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised..

1cmc

1x Kytheon, hero of akros
3x Goblin glory chaser
4xFiery impulse
4x Titan's strength

2cmc

4x Topan freeblade
3 Ember Hauler
4x Mage-ring bully
3x Call of the full moon
2x Infectious bloodlust

3 cmc

3 Iroas's champion
3 Act of treason
2 Exquisite firecraft

4cmc

1 Akoum firebird
1 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar

Land

2 Clifftop retreat
9 plains
11 mountain

Another one for the Master list:

; Gruul Ramp; Ramp; Archetype (Yes); Covert Go Blue

I'm pretty sure Cogo has 'solved' gruul ramp. the ONLY thing here that seems debatable are the Gather the Packs (Which I personally like), and the Desolation Twin (which could maybe be an Oran-Rief Hydra? or a 1 of Chandra's ignition?)

This build is so powerful and consistent it makes me puke. Hate this thing.

Make no mistake, as much as I prefer the 'cute' drazi I posted above, this one is easier to play, and has less 'weaker' matchups than blue drazi. Great job solving it (imo). This is the only deck I know that keeps close to 90% on steam. Best deck in the game. There. I've said it. Brb, deleting this pile of tryhard BS.

3 x Fiery Impulse
3 x Gatecreeper Vine
2 x Twin Bolt
2 x Gather the Pack

2 x Radiant Flames
4 x Nissa's Pilgrimage
1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer

4 x Mwonvuli Acid-Moss
2 x From Beyond

2 x Outland Colossus
1 x Oblivion Sower
1 x Greenwarden of Murasa
2 x Nissa's Renewal

2 x Gaea's Revenge
1 x Omnath, Locus of Rage

1 x Desolation Twin
1 x Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger

3 x Rolling Thunder

2 x Rootbound Crag
1 x Canopy Vista
2 x Cinder Glade
6 x Mountain
12 x Forest

I'll add this one too, since it looks like Cogo and myself have finally converged about how Dimir crats looks, and I've benefited from alot of feedback from various sources over the time since release of BFZ, and Cogo has been testing the archetype in depth too:

2 approaches:

Dark Depths (my build, as posted in november here, with continuous tweaks)

Cogos Mid Range Crats Januari blog update

As you can see, differences after a month of testing are minuscule. He has a slightly more distributed curve and more lategame resiliency. I have a bit more early pressure and a sprinkling of counterspells to protect my board, + a drowner of hope because I can't have 4 whirler rogue, so it's just a tad further up the combo axis.

Notable remarks about feedback from many players over the timeframe:

_ Despoiler of Souls has been weighed and been found wanting. Blame RDW.
_ There's no need to go bigger or go grindier with Cruel revival/Gravedigger.
_ This deck is 100% guaranteed stronger than monoblack crats and kills quicker than golgari crats. Wether Jund crats can dethrone this thing... well I haven't seen anything truly convincing tbh. Mainly 'lolz i'm gonna steal ur Ulamog then hope my Tiny Thunder is big enough to finish you' gimmicks. Consistency is king. Props to DJ's Millcrats though.

Rabble, is that CGB's final Ramp build? I thought his had Jaddi Offshoots and such. I'm not sure which build of his is the most recent. I'll bring it up in the Gruul thread.

Please post the link from the appropriate thread where this was posted. Thx.

Actually, this goes for most of the posts that I've gotten in here. Post the lists in their appropriate thread. Post the links to the posts here, please. And if at all possible, follow the formatting, and keep your descriptions short - so that I don't have to shorten them.

You are the only person, in the history of duels, to even come close. (You nailed it btw).

Lol

Btw, I almost posted the link to my take on your Orzovh Abo/Arrogance idea...but after like 20 games, I must say that I think it doesn't work, the deck feels clumsy...TA has no real sinergy with a deck which has two enchantments and 2-4 walkers as part of its base game...you almost never get Abos and TA at the same time, and when you do, you usually have a Husk on the field, so it doesn't make much sense...in fact, with Outburts instead of TAs is probably a better deck...

Yeah... It was just an idea. Fun to try, but in the end not very competitive.
