Anyone play the D&D board games - Wrath of Ashardalon, Castle Ravenloft or Legend of Drizzt?

I've been eyeing them for awhile as a way to get my few gaming friends here introduced to the D&D universe (and hopefully want to DM cause I want to be a player!), and recently obtained Legend of Drizzt.

Any thoughts of suggestions?

Haven't played any, but Legend of Drizzt sounds awful just from the name. Ugh. Imagine if the next MTG set was called Legend of Jace.

I think I played 2 of the three. they are AWESOME on their own. But don't expect too much role playing element in it. Like there are no "problem to solve". They are all more or less just dungeon crawler.

But you do fight a lot and you level up (which is the most exciting part for me, power gamer here lol)

the monster movement system is pretty novel as well.

That said I do not see people going into actual D&D games from these board games. They are quite different in nature i think.

They play pretty similarly to 4E D&D, albeit simplified of course.
They're okay. I think I was fairly bored when I played it.
