black being the weakest control color does not mean it's the weakest color

now none of this is strong enough to be a mono color deck imo, but it's basically the same situation as White had in Orgins

I'm glad WotC decided to not include Ruinous Path. They obviously wanted planeswalkers to be really strong in the Duels meta, and I think it's more flavourful because of that decision.

We have a 2 mana Disperse and a 3 mana Exquisite Firecraft to deal with them though. With BB in its cost it wouldn’t be so OP in my opinion.

Green have trample creatures to deal with them, white has Bonds, blue and red I've already mentioned. Black has a huge problem at the moment, in my experience with mono-b and B/X decks. Ruinous Path would've solve it just well.

Black has no answer for Planeswalkers, Enchantments, Artifacts.. and it doesn't have it's signature ability.. tutoring. Ruinous Path would be a godsend for black.

Also, while browsing the comments under Mobius's latest match I've found that he also agrees with us on this topic:

"I'm still confused why we didn't get Ruinous Path in BFZ. Blue can counter walkers and White has Suppression Bonds, but that's really it. Sure red can burn them out but a lot of these walkers have such a high starting loyalty count".

Also, I share his fear of more and more upcoming Planeswalkers who will shift the meta to who casts them first, wins. It already looks that way at least on Steam. Path would be a staple in this meta.

I wonder if we'll get devour in flames kills every walker in Duels other then Jace, Telepath Unbound and Ob Nixilis Reignited, and that's only if they + the turn they come in

Imo they seem torn between keeping the game balanced and giving us the most "important/flavourable" cards, hence we end up with a cardpool where they seem terrified of making ally's too good so leave out all the good green ones + some other important ones (zulaport cut-throat) , and yet still get cards like Gideon which is pretty much an auto include in any white deck.
