Well I don't think this is absolute tier 1, but I can't help it, I love durdling and Value, and it has game vs any good deck in the format:
: pretty acceptable for a control deck.
Alot of things going on in this deck.
4 walkers to win with; an infinite reanimation package (epiphanies + Necro Summons + Murasa + Disperse), but also a light processor theme (4 Spell Shrivel, Oblivion Sower and 2 Titan's Presence to feed 2 Ulamog's Nullifier and 1 Ruin Processor), and we even get to cast lots of eldrazi and top off at Ulamog.
Land27 land (counting creepers as 1/2) , so we should expect to be able to survive a mossing.
Counters6 functional counterspells; but
Disperse sometimes reads 'counter target removal spell, get value next turn'. Sometimes it reads 'Counter target Aura, bounce Target Creature, cast
Time stop)
DrawWe have a double painless bitter revelation (kiora) and 3 Epiphanies as instant speed divinations. Necromantic Summons, Jace, Disciple, mire and Greenwarden all love Epiphany.
Planeswalker Pressure2 of our counterspells double up as planeswalker pressure (Ulamog's Nullifier), so do Lumbering falls and awakened Rising Miasma. Disciple also likes bashing walkers, and Titan's presence Exiles Gideon when he comes in for 5 very easily.
Anti-Aggro2 Languish, 1 Rising Miasma, 2
Disperse ('take another turn after this one, your opponent draws a card' vs linear decks), Ruin Processor (bad pelakka wurm, lifegain after whipe to get out of burn range + 4 turn clock) . Brood Butcher also is decent tech vs wide boards if you have a From Beyond out.
Anti GaeaDisciple, Sower, Sire, Greenwarden, Ruin Processor all trade Gaea (after getting value). We also have many ways to chump it.
Anti-UlamogWe have Ulamog, but we'll not be able to cast ours faster than ramp. We have 6 ways to counter him; we have 2 Titan's Presence to combo with From beyond (they cast Ulamog, you fetch yours, you play Titan's presence next turn). Should ramp have difficulty finding its Ulamog; we get to cast ours, and
Disperse (exile target Ulamog next turn, exile target land you control) in response to his trigger.
Brood Butcher + From Beyond: Yeah this is a bit weak, but it's really annoying for crats and decks that wanna come over the ground to deal with. Epiphany, ditch Brood Butcher, bring him back later when you have from beyond out as 6 power over 2 bodies + removal machine is a bit stronger t5.
Epiphany + Necromantic Summons : Dig now, get what you need back later !
Ulamog's Nullier + Necromantic Summons : Steal Omnath or Ulamog !
Necromantic Summons + Greenwarden of Murasa: Sometimes all you need is an unkillable 7/6 beater.
Disperse + Value on cast dude: Disperse being instant speed 2 cost really makes this a powerful play in this deck. You can really play mindgames with the opponent.
