Game one wasn't exactly a thing of beauty. Wasting Ob for no reason seemed pretty darn questionable, as did chump blocking with Lily so early. Disperse the thrall in response to Radiant Flames seemed like the obvious line for Mobius instead of just letting it get exiled like that, and playing around a one of firecraft by plussing Gideon seemed to be getting a bit too cute IMHO, given that his opponent has some good fliers in his list.

I think the end of the second game is already on the Hakumite highlight reel. That was a classic "oh no" moment! I was a little confused at first, since I have used awaken on creature lands before. According to the rules on the card, "awaken" makes the land a 0/0 creature with counters, so when he cast it on the activated vent, it changed from a 2/3 creature to a 0/0 creature. It would have worked if he had done it in the opposite order. So close yet so far!

Also, he grabbed the skyspawner so fast, I am sure he forgot about Kothoped.

If he sacs the vent instead of the ring, facing off against the bag and the bird ... hmmm ... I guess that would have been better. He played much better than I would have, with running commentary to boot, so I am not going to judge.

Enjoyed the video replay. In the second match was not sure why you didn't play out the dual land with black to get Lili on board. I think you also had sac outlets up so she would have flipped. May not have impacted the result after being mossed but you may have given him problems.

The kill though round 2 was brutal. The main surprises were a) how well Beast got his mana out but b) why he still did not have the plays to take control of the match. The finish was pretty neat 2 as I missed the triggers for the sacs were going to finish it anyway. Always nice facing a board wipe when you can get utility for the creatures before they hit the graveyard!

Man , you guys who have played so far are all terrible at this game , except Mackey (and he's even so humble). I feel like the steam players would eat you guys alive. Hopefully the rest of the players can bring better quality play. Its too bad this game isn't cross platform would have been amazing with some steam players like Legend in the mix.
