You guys keep saying 1 and done. Do you assume diverse is dumb and would over extend... we actually play tested with steely Danos list and it took 2 languish and a few lucky top decks on my part to take the game. A aggressive boardstate and a whirler rogue after a sweeper goes a long way

It was. It was 57 cards and 26 land, supposed to be 60 cards and 25 land. It's all sorted out now.

Mackey won. A critical misplay cost me each game. Game 1 I'm at low life and he's swing in with two Myrs, I activate Shambling Vent and trade with one.. when I should have just swung back on my turn. So dumb. Game 3 I play Nissa planning to flip her with a stable board.. he has a Myr on board with Vampiric Rites and two mana open.. again.. so dumb. I'm pretty mad at myself.

You guys are giving the azorius deck too much flack. I saw that first match, and the dieverse piloted that deck correctly; you aren't just gonna blow him out with 1 sweeper methinks. 2 is another matter

On the other hand, one has to be fair: drawing a baby gideon and a big gideon in game 1 and 2 vs a control deck that has a slow hand is .... a bit lopsided.

Don't sweat it, Beast. We're not even in elimination yet. We've all made that kind of Nissa mistake before in some form. I played Nissa once when he had EvoLeap and Myr out. Whoops.

Actually, no, being honest. The deck looks like it is hosed to a sweeper. And it is.

However, the pilot, Dieverse, played it very well...that was not in question. He did get lucky in a)getting a Gideon both games early, and b)Steely not getting a Languish in either game, especially in the second game before Gideon became a planeswalker.

Not suprised beast lost with that deck. Playtex ting against hakeems list he definitely has the edge against me but we will see. I'm done trying to explain why the tempo deck is decent. No good player is ever going to over extend and make languish or any sweeper a game ender.

What I'm saying if the deck loses to 1 sweeper it's not the deck it's the players fault for over extending his board.

OR it's the decks fault for making him feel like he needs to over extend

Badwally, I think that was the plan (and certainly Hakeem's intention). I hope at least one side of the match is streamed or recorded that way you will see the whole match. I guess (hope) for some there will be 2 recordings for the same match so seeing the commentary from each players perspective would be pretty neat.

The intention I think was for Hakeem ultimately to update all the content in one placeholder he set up but it will take time for those updates I guess. Trying to catch matches live but we are all in different time zones.
