Yeah unfortunately many opponents seem to be low lvl on xbox but in that run there were several rank 40 players and very many were above rank 10. Any comment on the actual deck? :D

I think i will add 2x Smothering Abomination and i really should have had them in the first place.

So you can win 95.2% of your games against the very best players on your platform? Sounds like a weak platform.

And let's all face it, Magic Duels is a weak platform.

Indeed but at least it's easy place to be able to play mtg online and sometimes u event get worthy opponent . But seriously we need real ladder and much more better matchmaking system.

Agree but unfortunately Duels is the only viable online way to play MTG as MTGO is crap. No deck will win 90% of its games in duels, especially on steam as it has more chance you will run into a counter deck to yours. Golgari control seems weak against mill decks so it is just lucky if you don't run into one with a decent hand.

Golgari was pretty insanely good deck before BFZ and even vs mill decks that didn't have the perfect hand. I did run Reclamation Sage and imo it was the key to take out the main mill engine.

Yeah but I doubt you would run 3 copies of Rec Sage so it would be very lucky to be in your hand and not get milled. Also Mill is a lot stronger in BFZ especially when combined with reanimation cards and Ulamog.

Steam. And nope, I was 20-1. Now I'm like 25-7 with that deck. I had lucky matchups and draws for a long time, and benefited from Gruul/monogreen Ramp going out of style because ramp with lifegain is a bad matchup, but the last days I started to run into them again.
Mill can also be a tough matchup, a couple of early Tutors and it's gg. But if they don't Tutor early I can usually run them over.

A long term 90% win rate isn't realistic.

Yeah that's the problem cos u can run 1-2 Rec Sage most likely 1 and it's pure luck at that point.

What made Golgari Control so strong is you kinda made your own luck. You had several engines to draw cards and another to straight draw land out so you have your mana and your not top decking lands. It also increased your chances of drawing answers. It's still quite good honestly, just not as much as before. Trying to find the mix myself on one that is.

Golgari 'crats has the tools to use a single Rec Sage like 10 times in a match.

I have been playing this BG sacrifice deck for last three days and it has been amazing for me. Last night i went 20-2 record and played against many other rank 40 players. Here is video of this deck in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwDzLZJG9oE

My current deck list has two changes to this that i posted. I took out Altar's Reaps and added one more Brood Butcher and one Shadows of the Past. I feel that this deck is very solid and save. Most problems i have had against mill decks. I haven't lost to them yet but it has been close few times. Acid-Moss has been surprisingly good and really win some easy games where opponent just didn't have lands to play.

4x Blisterpod
3x Vampiric Rites
4x Bone Splinter
3x Carrier Thrall
4x Gatecreeper Vine
4x Elvish Visionary
2x Altar's Reap

1x Liliana, Heretical Healer
3x Fleshbad Marauder
1x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
2x From Beyond
4x Mwonvuli Acid-Moss

1x Brood Butcher
1x Obnixilis Reignited
1x Oblivion Sower
1z Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger

7x Swamp
8x Forest
2x Woodland Cemetery
4x Golgari Guildgate

One question: why not playing eyeless watcher instead of mwonvuli acid-moss? It ramps too and support the sac plan more.

Think you need more Eldrazi for Titan's Presence to be reliable. Wasteland Strangler likes to take advantage of early 1/2 drop ingests and in this deck he will be waiting for you do kill something with an instant before casting.

Maybe -2 Watcher +2 bigger eldrazi as watcher is also not good with Languish.

What about Deathless Behemoth? That would give you an additional way to get an Eldrazi into your hand for TP.

Nice, you dropped the fleshbags and stranglers for more fat, think that should make things a bit smoother.

yeah still deciding how consistent I'll be able to turn on blight herder though

If I can't get it on by turn 4/5 semi-consistently I'm considering swapping them out for brood butcher, it's less ramp/overall stats but it's more removal and it turns things like my vines into actual removal

maybe just get some draw spells from black, idk
