just a compilation of others ideas, and seems to be doing well.. can't take any credit really.. hope green sees success for others too

@ Barney, yes mono green is definitely a force. I'm not playing it on the backfoot against red green. As in, I'm not playing anxiously. I play with confidence.

Anyway red green ramp is dying down now, and this mono green deck is very strong at the top against all others. I guess I'll say tier one, why not. It is REALLY kicking butt for me - love to see some others play mono green and feedback on it

Did you playtest Primal Bellow ? With all those trample creatures and forests i can't help but think it might help finishing some games faster...

EDIT : I missed that info indeed, sorry.

So here's my take on Mono-G ramp... I like this deck, but like the other ramp decks, great Control will wreck it completely.

Mono G Ramp

Green: 34
4 x Blisterpod
3 x Primal Bellow
4 x Elvish Visionary
2 x Evolutionary Leap
1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
1 x Reclamation Sage
4 x Unnatural Aggression
4 x Nissa's Pilgrimage
2 x From Beyond
1 x Greenwarden of Murasa
1 x Woodland Bellower
2 x Nissa's Renewal
2 x Gaea's Revenge
3 x Plated Crusher

Colorless: 2
1 x Oblivion Sower
1 x Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger

Land: 24
20 x Forest
4 x Fertile Thicket

Yeah, yeah... ramp, pray, win. Life gain is, IMO, as usual, for chumps. ;P

Just kidding, I haven't tried a life gain version yet. BUT, the only deck that was beating this deck today was non-aggressive. Life gain wouldn't have helped at all. Just my +2 cents

How is it you have 4 Nissa's Revelation?

Do you mean Nissa's Pilgrimage?

4 Unnatural Aggression? How's that working out for you?
I'd rather see a couple of Titan's Presence or even Scour from Existence.

Nice hearing you're kicking *** with Mono Green, Beeswax ^^

I like it a lot. Instant speed removal is a BIG deal. But I'm not totally sold yet. FYI Titan's presence only works with 2 cards in the deck and we don't have scour in the pool.

I'm still doing reasonably well with my Origins mono-green Elf deck, but more sweepers and new cards like Jaddi Offshoot makes it harder. I'm not sure I can go 10 matches and stay at 40.

This ramp deck is tied for the highest winning percentage on Steam among BFZ decks I've played at least 20 times (22/25). It's designed to do well against aggro and to efficiently locate Ulamog (the evolpeas do good work there). I believe it's tier one. RG ramp is also great, but the life-gain and consistency of mono-green are worth quite a lot also. Most of the time this one feels just unfair, like my opponent never had a chance.

Creatures

3 x Jaddi Offshoot
4 x Elvish Visionary
4 x Gatecreeper Vine
1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
1 x Greenwarden of Murasa
1 x Woodland Bellower
1 x Oblivion Sower
3 x Plated Crusher
2 x Gaea's Revenge
1 x Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger

Spells

2 x Evolutionary Leap
3 x Retreat to Kazandu
4 x Nissa's Pilgrimage
4 x Mwonvuli Acid Moss
2 x From Beyond
2 x Nissa's Renewal

It's quite common for this deck to end games with well over 20 life. It may look a bit threat light, but those it has are difficult to remove. Retreat is not solely defensive. In one game I dropped a plated Crusher, put 10 counters on it the next turn and swung for the win with a 17/16 hexproof trampler. That's an extreme case, but I've won a number of games where adding counters was quite helpful. Gaea's Revenge is pretty much in there as a hedge against Blue control (and did win the game for me the one time I ran into mono-Blue mill). The hardest exclusions were Hydra and Outland Colossus. I left them out because I didn't want winning conditions that were so weak to removal, but that may have been a mistake. Hyda in particular is really good in mono-green.

Mono-green has been criticized a bit as inferior to RG, but I don't think it is.

The red brings SO MUCH to the table, but I'm also playing both since i haven't made up my mind either. I'm glad to see another person firmly in the mono-green camp. Very cool.

BEST RAMP DECK

Mono-Green Stewards:
- beeswax

Champions of Gruel:
- CovertGoBlue
- fetibatista

Team Selesnya
- shockwave

Team Naya (aka team stoopid)
- DJ
- Hakeem928

Team Can't Make Up Their Minds:
- Black Barney
- randomname

Team Simic
- Bassoon

Trump 2016:
- MegaBeast

Team Edward
- Mobius

looking forward to see how this list evolves

Are Gruul ramp decks really Gruul though? Most of the Gruul decks I have faced have 3 red cards (2 Ignition and Omnath): it's more Ignition Green than Gruul. I like mono green for ramp and Gruul for midrange.

Personally I think Selesnya is the way to go: it does well against most decks and is better when going against opposing ramp decks.

Put me on the Gruul team too, Barney. Rolling Thunder is the real winner and I've saying that since day 1.

Qft. I'm probably team Naya though. Ramp control, because screw it, why not?

I prefer Mono-Green, but I'm not claiming it's strong than RG ramp - only that it's at least equally good. It's got some subtle advantages, such as being functionally moss-proof (RG ramp can be pretty badly hurt by losing its red sources) and all lands coming in to play untapped, as well as having aggro defense (4x Gatecreeper, 4x Visionary) that is not a dead draw late game, unlike for instance twin bolt. In the mirror match between RG and Mono-G ramp, I find that the lifegain at least equals the burn red brings, and my winning conditions are burn-proof. Omnath is a huge problem however. This deck probably isn't beating a resolved Omnath unless it answers with Ulamog the following turn.

Can you explain "Team Edward" for the people who don't think you're very funny.

Actually, team stoopid might have just decided to switch to Bant. Fastest ramp... mostly permanents so Emeria is a ridiculous threat. Tons of targets for EvoLeap. Better finishers, or at least I like them better. Fastest path to ulamog - although who cares?.. More quality eldrazi. Plus I get to be the ultimate mosstard. And /Timmy! Either that or Simic, and forget about Emeria, which frankly is a bit of a stoopid card. Oh wait... /TeamStoopid... Right. Bant!
