have you tested blighted gorge? or did you just not get that much mana?

I don't think this deck gets to 5 mana without having something better to do with 5 mana in hand - unless you are going to lose. I want that in a mono-red burn deck or RX burn deck sometime soon. Plus, I wouldn't want even a chance of an unplayable t1, and I'm already a bit dangerous with the 4 tap lands, which are much more likely to result in extra damage, and therefore worth the risk, IMO.

BUT!, I didn't try it, so if I'm wrong let me know - this deck certainly doesn't mind sacrificing a land, so the concept is definitely not a total mistake, and probably worth considering.

I'm not going to play it, DJ, but thanks! I went 3-2 with CoGo's red aggro and am really convinced that's not a tier one deck. I've still been having great results with my mono-red burn, went undefeated again tonight. I think that's the way to play mono-red. There are too many cards now that are early game solutions against red aggro. Languish is a huge problem and I'm seeing more of it now, not less.

Red burn gets around that stuff.

Barney can you elaborate on what you mean with red burn? I mean coverts list already has most of the burn we have access to.

Doh, oh well then. Lol. I tried. It's stupid fast though. Keep it in mind, in case control (not midrange control, but counter control) becomes a thing.

I'm not an aggro player, so beyond having it to test against other decks, I'm probably never playing that pile again. Disclaimer, unless the Meta shifts.

My experience playing Red Aggro is that the control decks seem to have enough early game solutions to really give me a hard time. Ramp doesn't survive but Control does. My burn deck can handle control better so that's why I'm sticking to that.

Nevius, he doesn't have enough burn. He has garbage like Foundry Street Denizen, he doesn't have Molten Vortex (nor should he in an aggro deck). Here are the key cards I'm playing that he doesn't (remember that his deck is aggro, not burn, I'm only doing this cuz you think his build has enough burn, but you've forgotten...

Goblin Arsonist (when you don't get a Glory Chaser, he'll do just fine)
Ember Hauler (he only just recently added this back, this guy does some insane work against control decks)
Perilous Myr (he and the Arsonist are often closers), with Chandra's mommy and daddy, this guy is one of the best closers against Fog-type crap.
Engineer/Geargrafter/Chandra's Parents - This trio will help to push through damage upstairs, creating alternate targets for your enchantments and chandra's parents
Avaricious Dragon - doesn't look like burn, does it? When burn is top decking, you are in trouble if your opponent is at 5 life or better. This guy solves that problem. You mostly need him to draw lands for Vortex. Speaking of which...
Molten Vortex - makes sense that CoGo isn't playing this because of Firebird but this card is really a huge worker for your deck. Often you will be fine with 2 land and using the rest for Vortex.
Inferno Fist - this is the key difference between Burn and Aggro. We aren't going to run infectious bloodlust, we want this instead since it does the same boost but can be sac'd for 2 more closing damage. Another closer.
4x twin bolt. This card is a total beast for getting rid of pesky blockers or hitting the face. I love hitting the opponent for closing 3 damage by killing my Myr too.
Rogue's Passage - few people play this in their burn decks but I LOVE this card for certain problematic situations when you just need to punch through with your enchanted dude

I love dedicated burn, there are so many more options to win. Bassoon said a key funny thing during Hakeem's stream last night. I was topdecking with Hakeem at 2 life and Yumi pointed out that over a third of the cards in my deck can kill hakeem if I draw them. lol, it's totally true. But because of my molten vortex on the table, the number was actually over 58%. That's a good place to be when you have NO BOARD. No board (save for Vortex, obv) and almost two thirds of my remaining cards will win me the game. To the nekkid eye, it looked like I was making sick top-decks but most of the cards in the deck are helpful.

I got really irritated with the game on IOS.. Lots of crashes and issues trying to click cards. Still haven't gotten the game for PS4 yet? Any word if that is ever coming out?!

I have been working a ton lately, but I am planning on getting back into working on the youtube channel in my spare time. Planning on hiring a guy to do video editing for me for other ventures, so I plan on tossing him gameplay footage as well!

Now that the IOS app doesn't blow, I am back to playing! And excited to unlock the rest of the new cards and test out decks of them..

My old decks are still owning right now though, so that's awesome.

I used this deck to hit rank 40. I won the last 11 games in a row and my overall record was 22 and 6 (79%). My losses were to 3 mirror matches (1-2 due to play mistakes), BUG Eldrazi, WBG ramp, and RG ramp. I think this deck is very well positioned at the moment as many decks have stopped running as much mass removal in favor for cards like Jaddi Offshoot and Mwonvuli Acid-Moss. There is probably a better version out there but this worked very well for me.

I rarely, rarely lose. I'm running the mythic firebird over the dragon and 1 thopter land over 1 rogue passage anymore. Burn ftw! Ha. Worth noting it's inferno fist, not volcano. I've been running this since the beginning.
