I might check it out one day. I briefly read a few chapters of One-Punch Man a while back but I have a horrible track record of keeping up with manga.

It's not my favorite this season, but OPM is still nice. The animation team really went full throttle on the fight scenes, and it shows. Mindless fun.

Gosick was good. The soundtrack is amazing. Wish there was more drama. Kujo's v-neck sweater is really nice, and I want one.

As a military vehicle operator, I can say that Girls und Panzer is the greatest thing on the planet.

How have I not written an anime review of that yet?

Girls Un Panzer is unrealistic enough to annoy me. Something about girls hanging off the side of tanks while live fire is going off near them.

Finished Requiem from the Darkness and Another. I am continuing to watch horror shows from some lists of best horror shows. Both are good horrors shows, but Another is really good (I watched in three days only). I will give an 8 to the first and a 9 to the second.

Requiem from the Darkness is episodic, but that works, except to close the anime. The end is bad and rushed.

Another is really good and atmospheric. The plot needs some gimmicks to work, but if you can relegate that it works very well (you need to do this for any horror story anyway).

This scene has little to do with the anime. It is probably the only comedic scene in the entire anime.

3. Seeing the scene without context, with the music and everything, makes it actually pretty funny.

You guys are sick!

There are lots of comedically unlikely deaths in another, including one scene where a group of students are running down a hill in terror as they get picked off one after another by improbable deaths. It makes it kind of hard to take it seriously. I liked the anime, though.

Yeah that was kind of my point is that the umbrella death is so unbelievably over-the-top as to be funny. The music is stupidly dark and foreboding, the slip kind of ridiculously slow and she didn't even try to save herself, and I'd be willing to bet there has never been an umbrella that sharp.

Apparently you dont understand exactly horror. Over the top is a rule, and how much you can push that without becoming ridiculous is the game played. Even so some are good because of that. Another compared to others is incredibly realistic and remembers me a little of Premonition. Premonition, you can say is over the top, but it is a good horror movie. At least the first one, and second one in a lesser degree.

Edit: Premonition is the name in Portuguese, in English the movie is called Final Destination.

It sounds to me like you're actually talking about thriller instead of horror. Here's a litmus test: have you seen any of the Saw movies, and would you call them horror?

I personally wouldn't even call them movies. But that's just me.
