Once I got so many good rally triggers, I just got entranced by taking allies. The deck was good, it just had trouble pushing through at times.
You opened a Marsh Flats. I don't care what your game results were, you got there. :)

If you're going to keep that chasm guide I'd swap a plains out for a mountain. Otherwise cut it for the fissure like ajunior148 said. You just don't have the number of color sources to reliably cast it if you draw it as your deck currently stands. I usually like at least 3 sources of a color for a splash. Adding a mountain actually bumps you from 2 sources (smoldering marsh plus marsh flats to find that marsh) to 4 sources since adding a mountain also means you can find said mountain with your evolving wilds. Okay so maybe more like 4.1 sources since you would then actually have a chance to find the mountain off of a fertile thicket trigger. That swap comes at a cost though, you drop from 10 white sources to 9. That's an iffy call. Haste is awesome, but at the cost of your mana base consistency? I dunno...

It was MTGO. Marsh Flats costs about $14 there, as opposed to the $98 in paper. (Also, the expeditions are non-redeemable.)

As for the Chasm Guide, I agree that stretch wasn't necessary. I'd play the Marsh anyway for converge. That said, I think Inspired Charge is the better replacement card for this deck. Though I could always remove the Sharpshooter too, lackluster as it is.

This was an interesting one. I first picked Retreat to Emeria out of a pack with Akroum Hellkite, Touch of the Void, and Resolute Blademaster. Since half the table went red I guess that was OK. I then picked Woodland Wanderer out of a very boring pack and Exert Influence which is a very good pick 3.

2nd pack I first picked Greenwarden of Murasa since converge seemed the best of a bad lot of what was open. I got passed a Guardian of Tazeem and *tried* to go base UG but as you can see I ended up with exactly 3 blue cards, plus some random black spells. I was between two RW decks. The order, starting from me was:

Guwb
RW
UW
RB
UB
RWg
UR
RWg

Deck was kinda OK. I lost one game match 1 when a 5/5 Wanderer got Spell Shriveled on turn 4. But I did manage to grind out a win in 3. Match 2 opponent got screwed and I had turn 4 5/5s and Guardians that he killed followed by Mortuary Mire.

Match 3 I got crushed by RB.
Game 1 kept a slow and got rolled Game 2 was actually pretty good. Sort of. I had an early Retreat out, but he played Mire’s Malice to take Sheer Drop and Mire’s Malice, and then my Fertile Thicket bottomed Guardian, Greenwarden, AND Woodland Wanderer. He had a 7/8 and a 7/7 and I kept drawing lands, chumping and making tokens. Got to finally shuffle but never managed to get back into it. I “accidentally” traded a Plated Crusher for Sludge Crawler (mis counted his mana on the double block) … and it turned out it was kinda correct to make this trade, as the Crawler would have soon been soon hard to deal with. Although I guess he needs 10 lands to make it a 6/6.

// 4 color good stuff
1 x Snapping Gnarlid
1 x Tide Drifter
2 x Lifespring Druid
1 x Taruju Stalwart
1 x Call the Scions
1 x Eyeless Watcher
1 x Murasa Ranger
1 x Woodland Wanderer
1 x Kozilek’s Channeler
1 x Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper
1 x Guardian of Tazeem
1 x Tajuru Beastmaster
1 x Greenwarden of Murasa
1 x Plated Crusher

1 x Natural Connection
1 x Mire’s Malice
1 x Complete Disregard
1 x Smite the Monstrous
1 x Sheer Drop
1 x Retreat to Emeria
1 x Exert Influence

1 x Blighted Woodland
1 x Evolving Wilds
1 x Mortuary Mire
1 x Skyline Cascade
2 x Fertile Thicket
1 x Swamp
4 x Island
3 x Plains
6 x Forest

How to 3-0 the easy way--- this was a 9 person pod.

I P1P1'd Coastal Discovery. Then was passed a pack with Drana's Emissary and Serpentine Spike. This was pretty tough. I ended up taking the emissary, but BW allies was not forthcoming. I took a few white cards but no blue. At the end of the pack I wheeled both an Ondu Champion and and a Chasm Guide... in a 9 person pod this seemed relevant, after randomly spec' picking rare dual lands (remember this is a rare-re-draft so you can't money draft them).

I ended up getting passed *some* red, maybe a white card pack 2. I passed a WIndrider Patrol I took Tajuru Warcaller pick 9 or something. Pack 3 Pick 1 was so bad, I basically hated a Clutch of Currents (which I did board in once), then took 2 evolving wilds while passing Ob Nixilis. Finally a late Skyrider Elf.

The guy on my left was (unsurprisingly) RB, mostly devoid. The guy on my right ALSO 1st picked Coastal Discovery, turns out got 2 Woodland Wanderers and Retreat to Emeria. But I got the fixing.

I ended up with this YOLO:

1 x Kor Castigator
1 x Felidar Cub
1 x Reckless Cohort
2 x Firemantle Mage
2 x Makindi Patrol
1 x Ondu Champion
1 x Chasm Guide
1 x Skyrider Elf
1 x Ghostly Sentinel
1 x Shatterskull Recruit
1 x Kor Entanglers
1 x Tajuru Warcaller

1 x Lithomancer’s Focus
1 x Ondu Rising
1 x Radiant Flames
1 x Smite The Monstrous
2 x Stonefury
1 x Coastal Discovery

1 x Cinder Glade
1 x Lumbering Falls
2 x Evolving Wilds
2 x Looming Spires
1 x Island
2 x Forest
3 x Mountain
6 x Plains

//Sideboard
1 x Clutch of Currents
1 x Retreat to Valakut
1 x Goblin Warpaint
1 x Fertile Thicket

Dat mana base. That's only 39 cards. I think the 40th was either a Sheer Drop or a Shadow Glider. Pretty sure it was the glider.
I did board in Clutch > Discovery once, and on the play, match 3 I boarded in Retreat (which is good on the play) and Warpaint (which I didn't draw).
Initially I built the deck with 1 Forest and 1 Fertile Thicket, but while testing during the bye I actually had my only forest in play, and evolving wilds couldn't get anything to cast my Warcaller.

I got the bye round 1, beat BW allies round 2 (he was splashing Blue and got stuck on mana game 1). Game 2 was good, but I won. Match 3 was against GW Ondu Greathorn.dec His "combo" was basically Greathorn + Slab Hammer + Sandstone Bridge -- which was surprisingly effective. I did beat him in 3 games despite misplaying Stonefury TWICE. (I did win both of these games though) -- The first time I had 2 allies in hand and Chasm Guide + Patrol on the board. I attacked for a couple, then tried to Stonefury his guy but didn't have . But the next turn I played Firemantle Mage + Makindi Patrol and smashed in with a bunch of hasty vigilent menaces.

The second time, I Stonefury'd his Slabhammer/Greathorn for 5 while holding a land, he played Swell of Growth + Sandstone Bridge (+3 toughness) to save his 2/3. Luckily I had a 2nd Stonefury in hand and he had no out to my 4/4 flying elf.

You seem to be getting good at this :)

In other news, our very own Rush_classic is featured in the last Redi Duke BFZ draft! Look closely at the standings, shown, IIRC, at the end of match two.

Good, lucky, whatever. I strongly doubt I 3-0 with that deck without a bye. I think I am getting OK at salvaging the typical BFZ trainwreck table. I feel like I am making good decisions, generally.

ah, I saw that video but I did not see Mr. Classic. It was telling that in that vid all 3 matches were 3 color (+) decks. Drafting green in this format is truly an art form.

at FNM i drafted probably my best BFZ deck to date, i can't seem to get out of U/W flyers. worried i was forcing. but was definitely drafting my seat correctly.
U/W control
creatures
1x Mist Intruder
1x Fortified Rampart
1x Kor Castigator
1x Halimar tidecaller
2x Courier Griffin
1x Kozilek's channeler
1x Windrider Patrol
2x Angel of Renewal
1x Felidar Sovereign
1x Ruin Processor
non creature
1x Clutch of Currents
1x Horribly Awry
2x Gideon's Reproach
2x Sheer Drop P1/1
2x Roil Sprout
2x Stasis Snare P2/1
1x Ugin's Insight P3/1
Lands
1x Evolving Wilds
1x Blighted Cataract
1x Sandstone Bridge
8x Plains
7x Island

SB
Felidar cub sided in against tightening coil for Kor Castigator
Expedition envoy sided in against sludge crawler deck for sheer drop
ondu greathorn
tandem tactics sided in against triple touch the void for Sheer drop
murk strider

a 3-0 (6-0)

Was really impressed with Eugene's insight, I had the tools to where i was never really doing it in desperation but more to just lock up the game once i hit a 5> drop. It felt like a dig through time.
