You never have to put up stats unless it's part of the story. I don't blame the guy for saying that his deck went 20-0, that's pretty impressive.

I prefer to test before posting.. I don't want to put my name next to some embarrassing pile of drek. If I really think I'm onto something.. I do a 10-games-in-a-row post. That thread deserves a LOT more love than it gets.. and it gives people insight as to why/how the deck wins. Saying 'I won X number of games in a row' doesn't tell us a lot. Mana screw/flood happens a lot in this game, noobs with bad decks happens, people without the full library happens, etc. Then.. since these decks are typically piloted by good players.. they can win too vs good decks by drawing well. That's why I'm a big fan of the 10-games thread..

I like the 10 wins in a row thread my personal posting style is too brief to ever do that thread justice though. Although I'm more usually preoccupied by why a deck loses rather then why it wins.

For Patient People. Looks decent on paper. Would like to do something with Ulamog's Nullifier since I love value, and to have a flier to hit walkers/increase my pressure, but I don't think it's worth it to build around it since getting 2 spells exiled would require alot of dedication. Salvage Drone is horrible

why not benthic infiltrator to fuel the nullifier?

Might as well go with Felidar Cub instead of solemn offering. It's a 2/2 for 2 instead of a dead card if your opponent isn't playing any enchantments.

Perhaps. But Cub can't be recurred with jace, and when you are being burnt down the 4 life might be better than a 2/2 blocker since I run so many sweepers.

Can't say I'm a fan of Roil Spout. Weaker, harder to cast Anchor To the Aether, and it isn't instant speed or target-able on enchantments like Disperse to make up for it.

I'd prefer the better cards for earlier on. Particularly since this is a 1 of, I just haven't found a situation where I think "hmmm sinking 6 mana into this bounce instead of keeping counter mana up is the right move."

it effectively stops a draw, or if you have an ingester it's an exile spell

..... It slows down aggro and mid range the turn before the sweep, and in the lategame its a wincon that survives your own sweepers. You don't have to run 3 of em. 1 or 2 is amazing in a control deck.

You only play it with awaken when you hit 9 mana or when you are in very dire straits . In the same way Part the Waterveil would be a wincon at 10, and a cantrip for your planeswalkers at 6 but that's just a step too far for me.

But so is Anchor To the Aether, and that at least gives you a scry.
