Now now, he did say that he put lots of luck in it so there's that.

Here's my tweak:

Out:
- ... and lots of luck

In:
+ 1x competent deck builder

Also, even though it's basically an auto complete deck, I believe that I speak for most of NGA and the Gobos when I say this was your best post yet.

Congraturations

Personally I haven't given up yet on trying to make an UB sacrifice deck with Nantuko Husk and Whirler Rogue work. After some testing I figured that it was best to go mainly for an aggressive approach, but the deck also needs some staying power in the late game when it cannot win directly. So far this is what I came up with:

Creatures (27)
4 x Faerie Miscreant
2 x Despoiler of Souls
1 x Jace, Vryn's Prodigy
4 x Perilous Myr
4 x Deadbridge Shaman
2 x Fleshbag Marauder
1 x Liliana, Heretical Healer
4 x Nantuko Husk
2 x Darkslick Drake
3 x Whirler Rogue

Enchantments (4)
3 x Infernal Scarring
1 x Shadows of the Past

Instants (5)
2 x Disperse
3 x Cruel Revival

Lands (24)
2 x Drowned Catacomb
4 x Evolving Wilds
1 x Foundry of the Consuls
7 x Island
1 x Rogue's Passage
9 x Swamp

The basic idea is to go aggressive, beating down and curving with early creatures, then pull the Husk + Rogue combo ASAP if it is available and can kill your opponent. Other cards are either here for their effects when they die or to add some control elements to the deck to stall the game a bit until you can kill your opponent (Jace, Liliana, and the Disperses and Cruel Revivals help do that).

I know some card choices can seem kind of dubious like Faerie Miscreant, Infernal Scarring and Darkslick Drake but I really think the deck needs some draw and I don't want it to come simply from spells that do nothing else. It also makes saccing stuff more worthwile. Plus if you have Liliana in play with a Faerie Miscreant on board and one in the graveyard, you can basically draw a card for -1.

Infernal Scarring is good especially on Faerie Miscreant and Perilous Myr. Faerie into Scarring can provide a very aggressive start that still draws you a card if the opponent wants to use removal on it. On Perilous Myr it just makes the choice between killing it and letting it live even harder for your opponent.

Despoiler of Souls is just great, awesome card to help finish the game with Husk. I wish we also had Bloodsoaked Champion but it's better than nothing.

I only played a few matches and it did mostly fine so far, but I got absolutely crushed by Gruul Monsters. Also one thing to really pay attention to while playing this deck is the time limit per turn when saccing stuff... I ran out of time once despite having lethal while I was saccing stuff to Husk, missing 3 damage just because I couldn't sac fast enough. Still won afterwards but it could have gone really bad. You need to be fast with your triggers.

If I had to cut something, it would probably be some amount of Deadbridge Shaman as they haven't been performing too great for me so far, but they're still an aggressive body with a death effect so I'm not sure it's the right move.

I'm really counting on the BFZ update (if it ever comes) to make the deck better but if you have any advice it's really appreciated.

It's gonna be hard to make that work bc you can't protect the Husk. I've come across that archetype a few times recently and it always dies bc I remove the Husk on sight.

I don't really agree, saying that the Husk cannot be protected isn't true in the first place, and it's not like it's always in desperate need of protection anyway.

First, it's pretty resilient to removal as long as you have creatures out to sac in response. In that case the most common removal spells in the meta can't even hit him (Reave Soul, and pretty much all damage based removal spells).

Second the card is a four of so it's not like losing one to removal at some point in the game is the end of the world. Plus you can bring it back with Cruel Revival and Liliana if necessary. It's not like playing a combo deck with a two copies of a card like Willbreaker where you absolutely need stuff to protect him and not get blown out.

In my experience, this has not been much of a problem. It's indeed important though to find the right moment to play the Husk and not simply slam it mindlessly on turn 3 with nothing on your board just to get it killed immediately on your opponent's next turn. You also need to be aware of the instant speed spells that can blow you out in combat (like Disperse or more rarely Reprisal) and play around them.

Dispel would be really helpful though to deal with these scenarios, so it would be nice to see it once BFZ drops.

The following is my attempt at making a Dimir Discard deck. The Key cards are Liliana, Heretical Healer, Deadbridge Shaman, Mire's Malice, and Mind Raker.
We have enablers for mind raker such as complete disregard, oblivion sower, and Sire of Stagnation. The concerns I have right out the gate before doing any testing is mind raker might not have enough enablers, mire's malice might have too many copies as it loses value the more I discard my opponent. Also my deck already seems to flop around until t3 or t4 as my only t2 plays are myrs to stall. I considered carrier thrall as an option for t2 plays as it chumps then gives + 1 to my mana pool boosting the speed of the deck for one turn. However, I have decided to go with the myrs for now. With the myrs + skyline cascade I figure I should be able to crawl my way into t3-t4 for now. I might need to take out alhammeret and sower for some better lower cmc creatures though. Also I am lacking on the draw which is weird for a dimir deck so I am not sure what to really change out atm. Let me know what you guys think.

4 x perilous myr
3 x jorubai murk lurker
1 x liliana, heretical healer
3 x fleshbag marauder
4 x deadbridge shaman
4 x complete disregard
1 x erebos's titan
2 x languish
4 x mire's malice
3 x cruel revival
1 x ob nixilus reignited
1 x sire of stagnation
1 x oblivion sower
2 x Alhammeret, high arbiter

4 x dimir guildgate
2 x sunken hollow
2 x drowned catacomb
4 x skyline cascade
11 x swamp
1 x island

This isnt a full deck, but I found a neat combo that you could probably build a deck around/include in a devoid deck

Turn 4 Ulamog/Other big guy by discarding and reviving it

Opening hand: 3 mana, a 1/2 mana cost discard ( Salvage Drone, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy), a 2/3 mana cost b/u card that spawns a eldrazi scion ( Eldrazi Skyspawner, Carrier Thrall ), a revival card ( Rise from the Grave, Necromantic Summons ), and your big creature ( Gaea's Revenge, Omnath, Locus of Rage, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Plated Crusher. Maybe Desolation Twin, dont know if it gets the twin). Hopefully you will draw the last mana you need.

Turn 1 Salvage Drone. Get it killed so you can discard your big guy
Turn 2 Jace, Vryn's Prodigy (to discard) or Carrier Thrall (get it killed for the eldrazi scion)
Turn 3 Eldrazi Skyspawner for the eldrazi scion if you didnt get one from turn 2.
Turn 4 sacrifice the eldrazi scion for Rise from the Grave or Necromantic Summons. Revive your big guy and win the game.

You could probably make an entire deck around that idea, or include it in an eldrazi deck

Not if you used Rise from the Grave :)

Or if your guy is hexproof/indestructible.

Could just Reprisal? That's 3 mana less of a slap in the face.

I tested alot in the past for all in reanimator and the fact that the tokens CAN ramp you conditionally for a t4 reanimation might be relevant.

I didn't like it in the past because T5 reanimation into 10/7 Revenge or 7/7 Alhammaret proved to simply not be enough in testing. Well it was pretty good, but you needed to make huge sacrifices to the deck to do it semi consistently and it didn't always win the game.

Alhammaret T4 or Plated Crusher, even Ulamog without casting effect sounds pretty good.

Gather the Pack has a 'may' ability. hmmmm.... Sultai reanimator incoming ?

He'd still have his combo pieces like Jayce/Eldrazi to sac to that instead. If the combo went off, great, there wouldn't be anything outside counterspells to deal with is on your turn 4!

How turn 5 Planar Outburst would send them packing.

That's a lot of mana you got for turn 4 there Rick haha.

Judging by the combo, you'd need 3 damage split across 2 targets AND 3 mana remaining to Fleshbag. Not happening in our pool for turn 4.

...you are a god dam GENIUS!!!

Hold every other deck, Abzan control is back on the menu, I really NEED this turn 4 board wipe. That'll teach those bloody RDW players to mock me.

Yea but again, it's the age old "1 in 30" problem. Same with Outburst tbh, Boiling Earth hasn't been doing any good since you typically see a turn 2 Mage Ring Bully, Infectious Bloodlust and other such nonsense to give their now very heavy hitters 2 toughness.

Just finding I'm dead well before Radiant Flames becomes a thing, so some anti-aggro creatures would be nice. White got a couple of 2 mana options in Stone Haven Medic (lifegain mana dump if needed, trades favorably in most cases) and Fortified Rampart (sometimes all you need in 6 toughness). I'd like to see if I can get an Azorius/Esper thing to work before I give in and go for Jeskai to get Radiant Flames.
