Snipe just saved my life. I was playing Hunter vs Hunter, my deck is more zoo-ish (how can I say no to Savannah Highmane? <3) while my opponent was a true face Hunter, although still quite basic. Well, I managed to snipe their Reckless Rocketeer which would have given them lethal, and got lethal myself the turn after. I guess it's true that nobody really expects Snipe so there's a surprise advantage to it. :)
Opponent: "That didn't quite hit the mark."
What I would have loved to answer: "It did, perfectly!" :D

Nobody really expects reckless rocketeer either.

wouldn't explosive trap have worked just as well and been something they should've expected?

That's true... but the deck I was using has no Explosive Trap because I have never opened one on the Europe account. It has 1 Snipe, 1 Misdirection, 1 Freezing and 1 Snakes, just so that Mad Scientist is likely enough to pick up something. At rank 20, playing just for the dailies, it doesn't really matter much: I brew decks with whatever I have. :D

so I may get my next Adventure wing tomorrow. (I'm at 635 gold, so a 60 quest would get me there and if I don't get that I may be able to grind it anyway.) the f2p guide jack linked said to do Blackrock Depths before the Military Quarter, but that was before the Warsong Nerf when Patron was more valuable. should I still do that? Military Quarter's rewards seem pretty weak overall but then they put me closer to Construct Quarter which has Zombie Chow and Mad Scientist which seem like gamechangers. thoughts?

Depends on the decks you (want to) play. Thaurissan is still great, but he typically goes into expensive decks. I would probably go with Naxx though.

It's also a possibility that you might want to just save it and see what adventure #3 has in the first wing. At a minimum, it will be a greater number of cards.

Wing #4 of Naxx is VERY important, but Wing #1 of BRM has the hunter equivalent of Darkbomb that jack keeps spelling incorrectly for some reason (thank you autocard).

To be honest, there's nothing in either wing that is so important that you can't delay the decision. If you end up with 1400 G before deciding, then heck it'll get quite a bit easier.

I'm currently on Wing #3 of Naxx, the point of doing it would mostly be to get myself to Wing #4 later. so that makes sense, although the part of me that likes completing things is gonna be really irked by the 700 gold just sitting there when I could buy the thing.

so now that we know what the first set of rewards are for LoE, I'm thinking I should still close out Naxx first. Djinn of Zephyrs seems pretty good value, as does Dark Peddler, but I'd like to get my hands on Chow and Scientist as soon as possible. does that make sense?

I haven't seen anyone that is excited about the constructed potential of LoE. Wing 2 seems to be the best, but I'd rather go for the 2 wings of Naxx you want.

Naxxramas always seemed the best value to me; so many important cards.

I hate when I get locked out by a counting quest. I wound up drawing and rerolling two of those that both got a lot of mileage from the brawl (kill things and play big guys) and I wound up finishing one with the other at 1 point behind. fortunately I think it's the big guys one so I could grind casual with a deck that has no 5+ drops, but still. ew. plus I don't like grinding casual 'cause I want to have a bad record there so that using it for quests is easier. but I certainly can't play the brawl until I reroll it away.

actually my burst rogue deck only has one 5-drop, but Loatheb is kind of important. I could cut it for now and try to do some ladder with it I guess.

Wait, are you trying not to complete a quest? Is there some incentive to do that that I'm not aware of?

it's 40g. I'd like to reroll it to try to get a better value one tomorrow.

I stopped min-maxing the quest system after the 50g quests were introduced. They're such a pain to complete, now I just do whatever I care to do on a day.

Crafted a Tirion today on a whim because I had to play Paladin. I don't actually have any Mysterious Challengers, might be the only non-legendary from TGT I didn't open.

ANOTHER COUNTING QUEST

actually my other 2 are 40s so I have to do one of them, might as well knock it out. it's the deal 100 damage one, which I can do pretty easily on ladder for a bit.

I have the "watch a friend" quest and none of my friends are online, is anyone around who's willing to let me watch them win?
