I love my cat, and most all cats. But they are grade A nerds.

The Great Wall of China is not visible from space. Seriously, how wide do you think this thing is?

Color blindness can enable you to pick out camouflaged objects more clearly. Depends on the camo though. It can also improve your vision in low light scenarios.

@Ogre - that is messed up. Were they way more expensive than regular chocolate? You had stores in your schools?

Fact: Tomatoes are fruit and vegetable.

Then again, vegetable is a fairly meaningless term from a biological standpoint.
While we're at it, strawberries are fruits.

Nope, in fact it was (and still is) cheaper than lots of other chocolate bars, including Snickers and Mars. Also yeah, school stores with sodas and junk food and pens and notebooks and stuff. They don't have those elsewhere?

Fun fact- I have never heard of a store inside a school except once in a movie I saw a long time ago. There are vending machines though and cafeterias obviously.

Edit- Universities have stores on campus of course, but when I think "school"... you totally meant university didn't you? Wow. That was a wacky misunderstanding. I know the drinking age is pretty low in parts of Europe but selling booze to first graders would be... it would be interesting.

Stores in schools seem pretty popular on many college grounds. And not just their college bookstore, but fast food and other stuff as well.

He probably meant a store not owned and operated by the school.

Detonation cord, which is a plastic cord about the size of a Cat5 ethernet cable but filled with pentaerythritol tetranitrate, explodes at a rate of approximately 4 miles per second.

You can use thousands of feet of it during controlled demolition for mining, construction, etc and when you set off the blasting cap it will all go off virtually instantaneously.

You just gave me an idea for a GREAT April Fool's Day prank. I have hundreds of feet of ethernet cable.....now I just need to find a victim. :)

Not really. Guess it's just a European (or Polish) thing, but most if not all schools here have stores in which you can buy sandwiches, drinks, junk food and basic school supplies like pens/notebooks. I'm kinda surprised this isn't standard elsewhere.
