Once I opened my 3rd Blightcaster I knew I wanted to build a deck around it...

Creatures (20):

4 Child of Night
3 Fleshbag Marauder
3 Flaring Flame-Kin
1 Erebos's Titan
3 Blightcaster
1 Priest of the Blood Rite
2 Gilt-Leaf Winnower
3 Nightfire Giant

Auras (9):

3 Call of the Full Moon
4 Infectious Bloodlust
2 Consecrated By Blood

Sorceries, Instants (8):

3 Reave Soul
2 Exquisite Firecraft
2 Cruel Revival
1 Chandra's Ignition

Lands (23):

10 Swamp
9 Mountain
2 Dragonskull Summit
1 Rogue's Passage
1 Evolving Wilds

The Flaring Flame-Kin are beasts when enchanted, and the amount of creature kill in the deck is impressive. It seems as if about one-third of my games end with a Chandra's Ignition and another one-third with a final attack against an opponent with no creatures left.

A well played Cruel Revival can return either a Fleshbag Marauder or a Nightfire Giant (who happens to be a Zombie Giant) after it kills something.

It's an effective deck, fun to play, and the games are usually short, so it's good for grinding. I do tend to mulligan aggressively.

Hah, Infectious Bloodlust + Gilt-Leaf Winnower seems like some cute tech against an opponent's creature with square stats.

There's quite a few good little synergies in my deck. The Marauders can even let you sac the Priest so he doesn't hurt you (i did lose one game because of that little bastid).

Hey Darkstar,
did you mean Fleshbag Marauder and not Graveblade Marauder ? Graveblade has no synergy with that amount of creatures in Graveyard...Fleshbag fits the theme and flips Liliana.

There is no typing error.
I know that Graveblade Marauder doesn't fit in very well, but he was in the original deck made by ibestest and while playing I experienced him as a really good creature for this deck.
The deathtouch ability + the 4 toughness are really strong and in combo with Chandra's Ignition you can destroy everything (also Gaea's Revenge).

But yeah this deck definitely needs improvement.

Hi everybody!
I'm Andrea from Italy, I used to play Magic a lot from the end of 90s till early 00s and recently I've restarted playing Origins (I know it is sort of a drug :takei: ). First of all, I want to thank you all for your Origins decklists, you're an amazing community!
After lurking a bit, I've decided to inscribe (and finally having a chance to be reviewed by Black Barney :teach: )
This is a decklist I've made (a big thank to 2bestest and DaRkStAr for posting their decklists: Shadows of the Past :king: ). I've not yet unlocked every card (so I am playing vs AI :V ) but hey, this seems to be fun to play with!
I'm really skeptical about Undead Servant over Shambling Ghoul / Read the Bones over Bitter Revelation and I want to precise the fact that I don't really know much about mana curve ( ), and I'd really appreciate suggests about that too
Big thanks to everyone

Welcome !! In reviewing your deck, I have a chance to break out my Italian...

GARBAGIO!?!

Is that the right word ? I'm trying to convey that the deck is not unlike refuse.

Hehe, I'm kidding of course, just breaking in our newest and brightest member.

OK, let's see....Radkos was my first deck I built in origins because it's ready to go out of the box. I grew disappointed in it fast but kept the best aspects in my Jund deck.

No fleshbags or bone splinters? You will like fleshbags with your cruel revivals. Let's get rid of those undead servants, this isn't a zombie deck. We could use four act of treasons

This curve is too high for lacking ramp . Let's get rid of all those five cost creatures and go more control build.

I'll think of more suggestions tonight for replacements. Hakeem is our local expert on recommending better curves. Megabeast37215 is a really strong builder as well so you do well to listen to him.

There is a girl here that spews out random advice. If babbassonust shows up here, entertain her advice but be aware you're talking to a complete lunatic.

...in fact, we're all a little mad here...

Welcome to our tea party! Thanks for joining the site !

Thanks Barney *__*
In italian it is a totally different word: SPAZZATURA
I convey with you that Act of Treason should be a perfect card to fit in it, but I indeed got more focused about reviving from grave rather than controlling the board. It surely depends from other player's creatures but you're probably right, adding some control wouldn't be bad!

Yep, I've two copies of that demon, and I will surely add them upon your suggests (maybe replacing Priest of the Blood Rite)!

this deck might be very strong, although I'd add some Act of Treason, you have a lot of sac outlets and you can draw cards with Smothering Abomination. I think that running out of gas is the biggest problem of Rakdos SacSteal except maybe facing a noncreature control deck.

I faced a more controlling version recently that had a very neat trick:

Control the board, Flameshadow conjuring +dust stalker = 10 hasted power every turn for 5 mana. He was full of whipes and recursion to keep enabling it. Played this person multiple times, he/she had a very bad record vs my blue based control decks so somehow it wasnt working out :D something to do with 8/9 shambling vents I think, basically only had to keep up counters for fleshbag and just exchange beats. Was a real good build though. Akhoum Firebird/priest of blood rite/Pia and Kiran etc + removal, recursion and burn. Real nice.

Maybe it looked something like this ?

3 x Fiery Impulse
1 x Bone Splinters

3 x Perilous myr
2 x Carrier Thrall
2 x Abbot of Keral Keep
2 x Forerunner of Slaughter

1 x Liliana, Heretical Healer
3 x Fleshbag Marauder
3 x Read the Bones
1 x Exquisite Firecraft

1 x Akoum Firebird
1 x Avaricious Dragon
1 x Pia and Kiran Nalaar
2 x Dust Stalker
2 x Flameshadow Conjuring
2 x Languish

2 x Priest of the Blood Rite
1 x Necromantic Summons
2 x Chandra's Ignition
1 x Ob nixilis Reignited

8 x Swamp
9 x Mountain
1 x Looming Spires
2 x Mortuary Mire
2 x Smoldering Marsh
2 x Dragonskull Summit

First off, the list above comes to 59 so I added a third Arsonist.

I played about ten games with this deck today at ranks 8 to 10. On games where I did not misplay badly, my win rate was ~60%. I am a novice player and I feel this deck is a little tough to pilot. It requires a lot of planning. Stalker and Abomination are a bit of a nonbo. If you run out of scions too early both Stalker and Abomination disappear and you lose.

The good players were playing a lot of BG and BGU with Moss in almost every deck(!). This deck is pretty resistant to Moss, but it does hurt your ability to plan ahead. I had one game in the bag until my opponent topdecked Ulamog...

A couple observations:
-I am not sure Ob Nixilus/Nissa works for this deck, since you don't have any beefy blockers. This means your walker mostly acts as a damage magnet (which I guess is valuable but...)
-Are there too many Abominations in the deck? The extra cards are nice but it eats up my board like pac-man
-A lot of times I was wishing I could replace all my Myrs and Arsonists with Thralls
-The only burn is Firecraft, otherwise there is no way to interact with the opponents board other than saccing Myrs and Arsonists.

Next I want to try NightHawk's version of Rakdos aggro. It includes a lot more ingest/processor/burn elements and hinges around Vile Aggregate.
