Hey, some things you gonna have to find out for yourself mate...

I preferred the Slor. The Shuvs and Zuuls probably don't agree but..........

This ghostbuster reference does not make any sense.

I changed my previous post and gave ya a little hint.

Yeah. Definitely the Slor. The Torg might even have a chance.

Mjack, can we stop derailing this thread and go back on topic?

I really don't think that replays are anywhere near as important as other changes that need to be made, and I would rather they spend their time on the gameplay than an extra feature many people won't use.

You would not like to save or post an exellent versus match for all to see?
Or show your deckbuilds actually work by letting us see it in action?

Granted, there are still a lot of things just programmed wrong and those things needs to be fixed, but that's another discussion altogether.

Not really. I would rather they work on fixing bugs, fixing promos, and actually letting people on xbox and ipad play the game.

Maybe they could do both though.

We are assuming they aren't going to be lazy right?

I would demand all the fixes you mention and additions like the replays to enhance the game even further, but that's me. If they don't bring a couple of new things the game would be getting stale indeed.

The thing is, making it possible to see the game from your Opponent's point of view sounds fun, but it's not worth putting that feature into the game itself.
As for the rest, saving your game so you can post it on Youtube or whatever is either already possible or it's going to eventually be intrinsic where it's not. It doesn't need to be programmed into DotP.

Could you elaborate on why this feature is not worth putting in the game itself? Because you are not giving any reasons besides the fact it sounds fun?

I'm not saying the game should post video's on youtube. I'm saying the game saves a little file containing a play by play with card id's which can be uploaded and viewed ingame, maybe even cross platform, but that's probably a stretch.
Capturing gameplay to post on youtube takes up big files, a decent mic and planning as you record hours of matches untill ya find a good one. Then you will have to edit and render that file and post it and hope someone looks at your channel. With this feature all ya have to do is click Save replay after that great game and it's done.

Anyone can do that and since you don't any need anything outside of the game to get this set up it's much more user friendly and much more people will use it.

Which I get, but obviously they aren't going to implement something like that for D14, so if we're talking D15 and assuming D15 will be on PS4, a version of what you're suggesting is already included with the console. So, redundancy. It's not worth adding this feature because at least one medium will do exactly what you're saying on it's own. If X-Box One won't, oh well.

I'm curious. I don't know what's involved with adding this kind of feature... Do you?
Like, is it something as simple as click "save" and a small file is stored somewhere that you can view and do all this other stuff you want at any time?
Or would there be more to it than that?

By the way, just to keep a sense of context, you asked why there are no replays and I've given you a possible explanation. If you're pitching the idea for inclusion in the game, I'm really not the guy to talk to.

Splattercat, like I said the first time you mentioned the ps4, saying its already feature on a console, only one of the many outlets for this game, and then completely forgetting it's an interactive replay, is not a reason why they should not include it or why this is a bad idea. One is a movie, the other is an interactive replay. It's not the same. It's not universal. Period.

Deciding how hard it is to program in is not something we both can assess nor should this be relevant for what I was trying to convey there. What I am talking about it how user friendly it is compared to recording a game for youtube. I have seen many games with a saveable replays, with a touch of the button, so I'm gessing it's kinda a moot point anyways, program wise.

I don't mind if you do not like the idea or think it's pointless, but ya fail to communicate why you feel this way.

Ask Wizards or Stainless then. E-mail Wizards_Sean.
No member of any community is going to answer the question you your liking.

If you skip back to my OP you see I actually ask two questions. I understand why the community has a hard time answering the first. That was only to get your attention; a sentence I was thinking of when I got this idea. The second question, if the community thinks this is a good idea is much more relevant for this thread. If enough people do not want it, we have answered the first question before Stainless needs to take a look at it. If enough people do think this addition is a good idea, it might be considered. Or not. Who knows how the big wizards honcho's think.

While I think that would be a good addition, I'm with Spatter in thinking it would never get implemented.
However, what about the ability to watch someone else's match? Not to be able to see their cards (as that would lead to cheating) but being able to watch other people play would really help some new people with their learning curve.

Do you speak of the elusive "spectator mode" I started asking for a year ago?
I still think that would be awesome to hop in and watch one or more of your friends play.

What would decide what match you would see and how does this prevent you from seeing match from someone you know? People are bound to take advantage from that idea, and the replay is basicly the same thing.

EDIT: nvm just saw the bit where ya can't see the hands.

This was an old idea that got scrapped early on. Not sure why though.

Devil - yup! Thought about it a few TNT's ago, when we had 5 people and kept swapping someone in. Would have been nice for the odd man out to be able to hang out and watch the same.
Alpha - yeah, if you could see the cards, that would never work...

Maybe we just need more people like LegendVD to keep putting matches on youtube..

Alpha,
with my idea you may view the legal zones of all players and be allowed to be on mic or in chat if the players give permission.
Players hands and libraries would not be considered legal zones so you may not view them.

Yes, thanks for the extra clarification, but I kinda got that already. It's just like the old mode that got removed, which we were all talking about in the last few posts.

Would be a cool addition to add back in, methinks.
