right after I craft myself two Blade Furys, I get a golden one from the chest. I guess I can dust the gold one to effectively recoup the original one's cost and spend it on some commons. I do like gold but I think it's implausible to hold onto if I've got too many: the added utility of more cards is worth more than the pretty animations in a F2P world.

I also got a golden Summoning Portal which I don't already have any of, but I can dust it for a common of my choice, plus change. is that a good idea? I'd rather hold onto it if it's a good card that I might use, but is it? actually I think it's probably worth doing anyway, since dusting gold commons for regular commons is economically viable. it's weird that that's only true of commons, though. I can always craft Portal later if I want it, and I'll still come out 10 dust up in the exchange.

Got a second Coldara Drake, which is pretty good. Dusted all the commons, since I already have all of the commons in non-gold form.

Opened two golden commons and a golden Ancestral Call. Ancestral Call is actually kinda nice because I was considering crafting Malygos.

Portal hasn't seen play since it was nerfed to no longer support infinite brewmaster combos. idk if it saw play even then.

I got a golden memesteed.

Nobody ever played the portal even with the combo, so much so that I never realized it got nerfed out of the game.

Also don't see where you guys get so much dust. Unless you just savagely disenchant every gold card and legendary you get.

I'm missing 16 legendaries and 29 epics TOTAL.

So I disenchant almost everything I get it packs. I don't really do much past my dailies, but that's still 2000 dust a month before season rewards easy. Plus whatever TGT epics I pick up.

I play a lot and disenchant almost every golden card I get.

I've only spent $40 on Hearthstone, I think, but I can make most competitive decks.

I am 3 legendary minions and 12 epics away from finishing off the classic set.
I am 3 legendary minions away from finishing off GVG.
I am 10 legendary minions and 17 epics away from finishing off TGT.

If I was not trying to get a complete playset of every playable card, I would not be disenchanting all my epics. But I am much happier being 3 legendaries vs 10+ away from finishing GVG then I am having some golden cards I won't ever really use.

I'd much rather have swag than a bunch of legendaries I will never use.

Maybe we'll get lucky and the balance of the player decks will be so bad that no one can reliably beat the thing.

my opponent just set up a potentially lethal board and offered a "well played", despite me having three cards in hand and their board being completely open to Flamestrike which they had no way of knowing I didn't have. of course, I didn't, but it bugged me enough that I let my turn go to time 'cause that's just rude.

I cast a Grommash today and I wasn't able to attack with it. I let my turn go to time hoping it would "debug" but nope. Then my opponent hit it with a Frostbolt, so it's clear that he could target it. When it was no longer frozen, I still could not attack with it; when I clicked on him it was as if I was clicking on nothing.

I still won so I wasn't super angry, but if my opponent didn't topdeck garbage I would have lost.

I've never had this happen before, is it a thing?

It's a very rare bug.
