You would not like to save or post an exellent versus match for all to see?
The thing is, making it possible to see the game from your Opponent's point of view sounds fun, but it's not worth putting that feature into the game itself.
As for the rest, saving your game so you can post it on Youtube or whatever is either already possible or it's going to eventually be intrinsic where it's not. It doesn't need to be programmed into DotP.
Could you elaborate on why this feature is not worth putting in the game itself? Because you are not giving any reasons besides the fact it sounds fun?
I'm not saying the game should post video's on youtube. I'm saying the game saves a little file containing a play by play with card id's which can be uploaded and viewed ingame, maybe even cross platform, but that's probably a stretch.
Capturing gameplay to post on youtube takes up big files, a decent mic and planning as you record hours of matches untill ya find a good one. Then you will have to edit and render that file and post it and hope someone looks at your channel. With this feature all ya have to do is click Save replay after that great game and it's done.
Anyone can do that and since you don't any need anything outside of the game to get this set up it's much more user friendly and much more people will use it.
Which I get, but obviously they aren't going to implement something like that for D14, so if we're talking D15 and assuming D15 will be on PS4, a version of what you're suggesting is already included with the console. So, redundancy. It's not worth adding this feature because at least one medium will do exactly what you're saying on it's own. If X-Box One won't, oh well.
I'm curious. I don't know what's involved with adding this kind of feature... Do you?
Like, is it something as simple as click "save" and a small file is stored somewhere that you can view and do all this other stuff you want at any time?
Or would there be more to it than that?
By the way, just to keep a sense of context, you asked why there are no replays and I've given you a possible explanation. If you're pitching the idea for inclusion in the game, I'm
really not the guy to talk to.
