Given the wording of Zinger's clarification, I don't think it'd go down like that Nik. By the wording, it sounds like the win con is just broadened without an actual alignment flip, making the player able to win with both sides. Zinger saying it has no effect on him probably means he already can win with both sides. In a situation like that, there's no incentive for scum to sell out their mates, and it's not likely town would be given a scum list to just disseminate to everybody else.

This ability is highly dangerous, me thinks, in creating entities that might decide to turn against town in LyLo because they can just win with scum. Essentially it creates the swing vote that people fear in self aligned players in other games. Until we have more information (about the game as a whole), I'd say just don't use it.

I also like fun rules.

You sound like a support player Silly.

Also, I agree with Numbers's assessment about Zinger's role. Scum are not more likely to request Zinger's ability than any other player in the game. And once a player does have their win conditioned broadened, then, like Numbers has stated, that person has the option to change who they are helping if it will benefit them. As for Zinger himself, I could see him as self aligned.

If I had to guess I'd say he's either limited on characters or restricted on referring to himself explicitly.

More structuredly, I'm with Silly and KoD in the anti random camp. If nothing terribly exciting happens today I'll probably join the counterwagon KoD has started. Although I would much rather prefer that something exciting happen today so neither a random lynch nor a counter random lynch is a viable option. Right now I'm super bored though.
