I'm thinking "I'll Take Those Odds" should be a "may" effect, if possible. Otherwise it feels too much like a penalty if you are forced by circumstance to use a conditional ability you don't much care about and lose an ability you do want.

After further consideration (and building a goblin character), perhaps "I'll Take Those Odds" should regen the power on a 15-20, do nothing on a 6-14, and take the penalty on a 1-5. What do you think?
Also, rules question: When you draw a weapon with "Quick Draw", do you also stow your current weapon, or do you have to drop it?
Additionally, I cannot locate a good copy of the PHB 2 for backgrounds or primal classes. Recommendations?

Indeed, perhaps the 50/50 is a bit harsh. 1-4 you lose another encounter power, 5-12 you grant combat advantage until the beginning of your next turn, 13-20 you regain the encounter power.

Hopefully all. I went pretty much all out on this one. I had this image of a WoW goblin doing absolutely crazy things in my head, and more or less ran with it. I hope I can keep it up during RPing, not normally my kind of character. A fun change of pace, though.
This is the first time I've made a 4e character. Any recommendations or changes he might need? How much starting gold do I get, if any?
So, I would like to know the stats of a boomstick...sorry, a blunderbuss.

Fifty gold pieces. A basic blunderbuss (two-handed) is the same range as a short bow and does 2d4 damage. It takes a move action to load, however. You get a +2 proficiency bonus and add your Dex mod to it like most ranged weapons. Essentially gunpowder weapons - blunderbusses, muskets, etc. - are rare outside of Dwarven and Goblin lands, do more damage than bows but have slightly less range (except in the case of more advanced muskets) and take longer to reload.

Thank you, much appreciated.
So can I use it for Blinding Barrage, if not for any of my other attacks? it would make sense for blinding barrage, since if you load a shotgun or blunderbuss with a bunch of flechettes or pebbles or whatever, the spray is definitely going to make your targets need to "wipe the blood from their eyes", as the power description says.
I just have this image of him hanging upside down and chain-firing it at an ogre's face or something.
