Mostly Modern when I actually have time to play. (The only Magic I've played in the month of July was Holiday Cube I think.)

I don't play MTGO, so I've never known. Why is it called the Holiday Cube anyways?

It used to only go up around holidays (mainly in December) and the other cube went up before set releases but now they're just alternating between the two I think.

Fair enough. If you like drafting, check out the Limited forum. Sometimes people do a Draft Your Own Adventure thread where they give you all the packs from a single round of a draft and you get to choose everything you'd pick. It can be fun. The other packs usually go up a day or two later so it's staggered and not all at once. Fun to see what other people pick, especially if it's a cube and there's several good Pack 1 Pick 1 choices.

hey there, figured id introduce myself.
i played my first games of magic way back in early gradeschool, some 20 years ago or something, even had my mom buy me one of those starter kit thingy's with cards and glass beads in them. i quickly got over it though. played briefly with a single mate and his decks about 10 years later, but still didnt get hooked.
then the first duels of the planeswalkers came out, and aside from 2015 i played, and loved, every single one of them, then some of my friends started playing sofa table magic, and ive played with them about once a week for the last 6 months or so, even bought my first deck (mono g infect), and i kinda want to get into FNM now.
with payday coming up a few days before BFZ release, i figured id put some money down and start playing, i started researching for a deck build, which eventually brought me here for advice etc.
so hello, hope ill like it here.

Welcome, and I hope you find some good advice on your future deckbuilding!

Hello everyone, I'm "new".

Since the WotC boards is in process of imploding, I imagine there might be 3 or 4 of us rafting over on out makeshift laptops and cardboard sails. Please do give us all of your food before we make a break for the border.

I love you.

It's honestly for the best.

Hey everyone, new goblin, erm... not goblin here.

Migrating with the herd (I hope) as WOTC decided to take a massive dump on their own front step. Got a lot out of the Rules Q&A over there and hope to find similar here. Also enjoyed the YMTC discussions and new set speculation. Rezzahan set up a community draft that was pretty fun, and helped me get a new appreciation for draft strategies and card synergy. Anybody do that sort of thing here?

I got into MTG with 3rd/Revised, sold off my collection a year later (yes, I beat myself over the head every time I think about all those dual lands I sold for $5 each). Got back in with Onslaught, sold it off a year later again. Came back for Zendikar, sold off a year later (I swear, it must be something in the water around here).

Finally back again playing EDH only. I build decks from online purchases, some trading or picking things up at the LGS, but have some $ set aside for a booster box of BFZ. Full art lands again!!!

Cheers, everyone.

there are community drafts that get run sometimes. I don't know if one's happening right now as I'm not around the Limited forum much anymore, but YMtC would certainly love to have you.

I ... don't think I ever actually posted in here. I had a brief stab at joining this forum a while ago, but that kinda fizzled ... I've been busy with other hobbies/obligations (writing/school/work). But I'm in a game-designy mood lately, and I saw the WOTC announcement about the forums getting boinked, so I figured what the hell....

Hi. I used to be TherealphatMatt on the WOTC YMTC forums, notable for consistently mediocre card designs. that is my legacy and i'll be damned if it won't be continued

nice to meet you all (some of you again, maybe)

howdy, CKY. I think we were both entrants in one of Yarium's big contests at one point, weren't we? (or maybe not, there's every chance I'm mistaken). That was probably the most fun I had back at YTMC, at any rate ... good, albeit brief, times

Hi everybody. I'm Nylon. I registered two years ago. I play Magic. I judge Magic too. As a judge, I once politely told two players to go under the table during the biggest European GP ever. I make 0.01 post per day, so see you in 100 days.

Nylon will be missed, and then found in a bit over three months.
