Greven's Rating system:
5.0: First pick no matter what. I will always play this card.
4.5: Splashable and first pick worthy.
4.0: First pick pack 1.
3.5: Early pick though not always a first pick.
3.0: Solid early/mid pick.
2.5: Solid pick in color.
2.0: Should generally make the deck if in this color.
1.5: Decent filler.
1.0: 23rd card if you have to.
0.5: This card will sometimes be sideboarded in.
0.0: I will never put this card into my deck (main deck or after sideboarding).

Seems fine with a sac outlet. Someone played this T1 against my son, got it killed and played T2 Undergrowth Champion
I still think it's synergy filler. Rather have any of the cards that have a real body or generate >1 scion. 1.0

No Sludge Crawler, this. I'm not sure, but it should be fine with black, enabling Splinters and Reap (synergy drafting!). I think closer to 1 than to 1.5, since it does nothing on its own.

I'd argue this does a lot. It's a 1/1 for 1 that replaces itself upon death with a 1/1 that you can ramp mana with. It's actually pretty good.
