Best or favorite?

FMA is probably a strong contender for best, despite my personal preference for Brotherhood, but favorite I'd probably have to say Code Geass, despite the problems with the ending. Or Tamers. Tamers was awesome.

FMA is melodramatic trash just like every other shonen anime that takes itself too seriously no harm no foul if you like it but lol calling it the greatest anime (or any anime in earnest because anime is terrible)

I'm sorry if you don't like it, I'm not a fan, but it really is an objectively high-quality anime, just as the Beatles are a very good band regardless of your tastes.

I like FMA and the Beatles also DBZ is the Beatles of anime.

its probably actually something like Legend of Galactic Heroes or if you counted them a miyazaki film but I haven't seen either

has anybody seen the new Miyazaki movie about the WWII fighter pilot inventor? It looks sweeeeeeet, and I don't think I can wait for it to come out in the states in February.

So to get sort of back on track.

Been watching Monogatari Season 2 and recently picked up Tokyo Ravens as well.
Monogatari is almost over and last episode was the farewell to one of the better characters in the series imo.
Now all that's left to do is to take on the final boss of the season in two weeks, because there will obviously be another lame recap episode in between the arcs.

Tokyo Ravens...not sure what to make of it entirely, but I do like a bunch of the recurring characters, so I guess I'll keep watching it.

I watch Monogatari in manic batches, because it's so self-referential sometimes I go bonkers. Haven't watched the end of season 2. It's still gorgeous.

Still enjoying Kill la Kill, and will prob watch Pantyhose and Stocking or whatever that anime is as a follow-up. There's also Beyonf the Boundary, which has been also gorgeous so far, though a tad melodramatic. I also hate the "hey look I'm an archetype" moments the show has--it's not parody like KlK--but it's nice when the show breaks away from it. They've finally finished the background storyline (I hope) so it can only get better.

I keep waiting for something to actually happen in Kill la Kill. Show's really enjoyable but I'm hoping for some plot or a tone/scope shift like how gurren lagann did it.

It's indeed probably best to watch an arc at a time. But I just can never get myself to watch anime if I get a backlog. So I end up watching stuff immediately when it comes out.

@Van I think KlK is "raising the stakes" by getting us to like the peripheral characters. But I already accept their roles in the story, so you're right, I'd like some plot development.

@Just_a_cleric I find my best weekends are hungover and watching whole seasons of a show sometimes. But I understand that's just a lifestyle of mine.

Is it related with Kill la Kill in some way? I wasn't aware. For what it's worth, I enjoyed P&S.

Going to try watching Log Horizon without really knowing much about it.
